Although the technology was around, only a few films were made in colour; it was expensive.
And the quality would have been nothing like as good as it is in that YouTube clip. I saw a little of the moon landings in 1969 - in black and white, with a grainy, flickering picture. Even "the woodentops" and kid's programmes were in black and white. It was expensive to make things in colour and not everyone could afford colour TV.
It wasn't the first thing ever shown, but there was great excitement in our school about being able to watch Princess Anne's wedding on TV in colour, in 1973.

You must have seen old black and white films and TV programmes; Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, early Morecambe and Wise programmes or Crossroads? If not, look them up and compare the quality with modern films.

There were photographs/film clips of the 1969 moon landings which showed the shape of the earth. If you reckon these were from CGI clips, the implication is that they had CGI in 1969.

He can't answer why Sydney to Santiago takes less time than Sydney to Los Angeles, even though on the only flat earth map they've ever given us, Sydney to Santiago passes almost directly over L.A.

And you have no answer why the sun, moon and stars are seen in the sky moving over the earth and not thousand to millions to billions of miles and light years out in and outer space.
