The answer in the link is posted by someone who apparently believes the knowledge that the ancient Israelites had of the cosmos was based on their own understanding and primitive. Nowhere does he indicate that it was God revealing the truth of the cosmos to the authors. He states:

"The language and thought found in Job 26.7 is quite consistent with other biblical texts, which do not describe a modern scientific cosmology, as ancient Israelites had no concept of the earth floating in outer space."

This would therefore seem to be an opinion based on the ancient Israelites writing according to their own knowledge, not God's revelation. I'm also not able to find any information on the author of the answer to verify if he is an ancient Hebrew scholar. Have you any information as to his credentials?

Also your reason for Bible translators getting it wrong in the case of Job 26.7, that "man wanted the earth in The Bible to align with what science states is the earth: a floating sphere out in space" (see your post #931), contradicts your own assertion that the Bible clearly advocates a flat earth. Why would they try to make Job 26.7 align with a globe earth and leave all the other verses you claim align with a flat earth?

Added to that, you are in effect calling all Bible translators dishonest, as all Bible versions agree on the same concept in Job 26.7 (unless you know of one that doesn't).

You have asserted that Bible translators were dishonest as far as Job 26.7 is concerned. You have asserted that it was done deliberately to align with a globe earth view. That is irrational & discredits your own assertion that Scripture aligns with a flat earth. By doing this you have shown that you are not defending biblical truth but flat earth. The one thing which is now indefensible is a claimed reality of a flat earth. This has been shown repeatedly in these forums. And it will be shown again in December when there will be hopefully flat earthers and globe earthers to witness 24 hour daylight in Antarctica.

The only options are that either the Scripture indicates a flat earth but a globe earth is the reality, or that the Scripture does not contradict a globe earth and that a globe earth is the reality. Take your pick from those two options but there is no way that it can be rationally said that the earth is flat.

God isn’t wrong, obviously. But you are attributing things to God which are not true, just as obviously. The shape of the earth is well established by observation. It is a globe.

Amateur astronomers observe the sky according to globe earth measurements. And that’s not to mention communications satellites and space flight. And the subject of this thread, 24 hours daylight in Antarctica for a number of months. It is only your addiction to conspiracy theories which deny these facts.

You are right of course. Living in close relationship with the Lord should be the priority in everyone’s life.

If it’s the case that the shape of the earth is no longer important to you, then there should be no need to try to convince anyone that it’s flat anymore. Trying to convince others of other conspiracy theories should no longer be important to you either.

There are plenty of Christians (the vast majority) who believe the earth to be a globe and live in close relationship with the Lord. A globe earth does not hinder that relationship in the slightest. But trying to convince them that the earth is flat sows disharmony into the body of Christ. And Satan is the master at doing that.

The plain fact is you have alleged Bible translators were and are complicit in a conspiracy to cover up a flat earth, which makes absolutely no sense and is a new low even for you.

Any evidence or testimony which contradicts your flat earth fantasy you all too conveniently either dismiss its relevance or claim it is fake, despite the integrity of the people providing such evidence or testimony. Nevertheless it is reality. So choose between Scripture being consistent with a flat earth or not contradicting a globe earth. Either way the reality is well established that it is a globe. Live with it or continue to live in denial.

Part of your problem is your lack of understanding of basic physics. Plus you seem to pay no heed to obvious evidence, such as 24 hours daylight in Antarctica and, as our friend @prodromos has pointed out, the fact that flight times between Sydney and Santiago are shorter than flights between Sydney and Los Angeles, which is impossible on any flat earth map.

Your husband is an amateur astronomer. My brother is one too. Both see the evidence that the earth is a globe by their observations. Are they wrong? Why can you not understand what they understand?

We don't know that there is & to be quite honest I reckon this final experiment is going to be fraudulent one.

My strongest arguments is the fact that water always finds it's own level plus the fact that we don't feel the earth move.

I'm sorry; I know I had left this thread, and more fool me for looking at it. But this is a ridiculous statement - not to mention a goading/flaming one.
You are accusing fellow Christians of changing God's word to make it fit our beliefs, and your "proof" is Jesus' words about the stars falling from the sky.
Jesus said the stars will fall from the sky so the stars will fall from the sky. Whatever that means, and whenever it happens, it has nothing to do with the shape of the earth.

Accusing your brothers and sisters in Christ of changing God's word, is serious.
