Guess I didn’t read my whole by post. I wasn’t focusing on one word. First of all God says clearly the earth sun moon and dress are in the firmament. But you say they are not. Then I said God said no less than three times the earth cannot be moved and is mounted on pillars but I guess u say it’s not. Then God says he stopped the sun from moving are u saying he did not say that. At least read the scriptures they say this then tell me how God got it wrong.

There are 200 verses which relate to a level, stationary earth & not 1 to a spinning earth that orbits the sun, if there is I can't find.

That isn't true at all. I didn't realise until I started looking up the verses, but whoever put this list together has had to jump from one translation to another in order to find a wording that they are happy with, so they basically discredit all English translations in doing so.

No it's not quite clear. You are comparing Scripture to Mesopotamian cosmology in order to explain Scripture. There is no need to do that.

And no, it's not a description of the Solar system because Scripture doesn't describe it to any great extent beyond what people needed to know.

Genesis 1 is compatible with the Mesopotamian cosmology, but clearly incompatible with the Solar system.

I have to disagree with you here, the scriptures in the Bible refer to an earth that is unmovable, stationary & with a firmament above it, it don't get more clearer than this.

Bible is inspired regarding main theological or moral points. Not regarding details, history, cosmology, botany, zoology, anatomy, math or anything similar. This view works best for me.

Any other view runs into serious problems when challenged and when studied into depths, like considering the textual criticism etc.

I think I understand ur view. U seek a theology that fits ur personality. A true seeker of the Lord must eliminate their man created ideology and surrender their open mind to the higher authority. The Bible is not perfect and has some errors but since you fit into the Christian category of the righteous much true biblical understanding will be lost to you. This is not ur fault but just the hand that was dealt to you.

You interpret the Bible in a manner which pleases you. I read ur text and almost all the words you used to describe that verse were not in that actual verse. Again inherited perception contributes to ur spiritual comfort zone.

It hasn't left that orbit in thousands of years. That is what "fixed in orbit" means.
