That's kinda the point of specialization though.
If I need legal advice, I'm not going to spend the next several years of my life getting a law degree. I'm going to go to a professional lawyer who already has the education and experience.
If I need taxation advice, I'm not going to spend the next several years getting an accounting degree. I'm going to go to a professional tax accountant who already has the education and experience.
And so on.
For some reason, the minute someone decides on their own personal crusade against whatever, the value of experts in a particular field gets tossed out the window. And in more extreme cases you wind up with the goofy conspiratorial thinking that pervades things like the Flat Earth movement, creationism, anti-vaxxers, and so on.
