On the Origin of Species is a very long book that presents a detailed argument based on a multitude of facts. I defy you to present a passage in it that relies on the shape of the earth.

I do not need a passage from a book, it is a simple fact from evolution that long amounts of time (millions+ of years) and large distances (millions+miles/light years) are needed for evolution to occur. And that is what the creation of a globe earth in an outer space provides.

I get the underestimation part. But then you said that the Bible underestimates the antiquity of humanity as well. And it really doesn't. It has a Creation story in it. How can it? Explain?

No it is that you see it that way, but that is true of unbelievers and also sadly quite a few believers.

The Bible is simply the only recorded true accounts of creation and any other areas that The Bible touches on.

But do you think it is possible? Is there any reason you feel it might be a logical impossibility? Any reason at all that you might be logically opposed to such an idea that maybe the ancients actually did mean, and believe in, a circle with no spherical properties?

I'm not asking if it's possible for us to know something about what they believed, I'm asking a question of if it's possible, in your view, for them to have actually believed and meant and intended to describe a circular earth that had no spherical properties. Rather than a circular earth with spherical properties.

In areas The Bible touches on, then if there is another supposed truth, that supposed truth must match The Bible's truth to be truth.

Example of this is: many believe that the moon reflects the suns light and believe this as truth. But as can be seen by The Bible, that is not actually true. The moon is a created light that possesses and gives off its own light.
