But we’re getting a bit off topic now
No, the Ancient Greeks had named the visible ones, Hermes for Mercury, Aphrodite for Venus, Aris for Mars, Zeus for Jupiter and Chronos for Saturn. They didn't understand what they were as we now do because they didn't have telescopes, so they considered them to be wandering stars. Hence the name "planets"I suspect it was in the Copernicus era that they named the planets.
It's also interesting to note that God uses a Greek mythological name when He asked Job:No, the Ancient Greeks had named the visible ones, Hermes for Mercury, Aphrodite for Venus, Aris for Mars, Zeus for Jupiter and Chronos for Saturn. They didn't understand what they were as we now do because they didn't have telescopes, so they considered them to be wandering stars. Hence the name "planets"
The Romans simply renamed them after their own version of the gods and those are the names we are stuck with today.
Still the same error repeated. Genesis was not written by God, so God did not state anything about this.
The Hebrew author or authors of Genesis stated this.
Here is this person with dead faith, again trying to show me how wrong i am, now that is interesting. What percentage of The Bible do you actually believe 5%, 10%. I know you believe 100% of science including their lies.
The ancient Hebrew view of the world is not inspired to be literal or scientific. The failure to recognize that will imprison you in a bronze age worldview and you will act and talk silly. Here is this person with dead faith, again trying to show me how wrong i am, now that is interesting. There are no painkillers, no antibiotics, no antidepressants; God didn't tell us that he created them.
There are no X-ray machines, scanners or modern day medical aids. They didn't have them in Bible times and we are not told that they were created.
Pleiades and Orion are English translations. The author of Job did not use them, though. It's also interesting to note that God uses a Greek mythological name when He asked Job:
"Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?" Job 38:31 KJV
Orion was the name of a hunter in Greek mythology and the pattern of stars was named because they resembled the hunter.
To me it means that, while it's not ideal, we can still use mythology for naming constellations, planets, months and days.
I stand correctedPleiades and Orion are English translations. The author of Job did not use them, though.
He used kimah: Strong's Hebrew: 3598. כִּימָה (Kimah) -- a cluster of stars
and kesil: Strong's Hebrew: 3685. כְּסִיל (Kesil) -- a heavenly constellation
Regarding the pagan names, Mark means "consecrated to the god Mars", but we still have a gospel of that name in the Bible. And many first Christians had pagan names and did not seem to try to change them, at all.I stand corrected

No.Maybe God didn't create them but the fallen angels may have done, as the 200 fallen ones who left there first estate taught the masses all kind of things such as metal work, astronomy & for women how to glam up.
The Hebrew scribes involved in the Greek translation of the Old Testament translated it thus.Pleiades and Orion are English translations. The author of Job did not use them, though.

But all the base materials - trees, sand and earth were made through Jesus. Not through fallen angels.

Heaven, heavens.
The OT shared the general ancient opinion about the construction of the universe [collectively »the heavens and the earth« Gn 1:1] and combined the primitive ideas of Egypt and Babylon, but did not accept their mythology and cosmogony [the doctrine of the creation of the universe from divine elements].
The universe was three-part [heaven above, earth below, waters under the earth Ex 20.4 sr. Psalm 115:15-17].
The earth formed the center of the universe in the world sea [Ps 24:2], which was touched by the "ends of the earth" [Dt 33:17; 1S 2.10; Jer 16:19; Mi 5,4 et seq.], had the form of a circular mass [Kral. "enclosure" Is 40:22], supported by rocky pillars [Ps 104:5] so that it does not move. But God also has these foundations in his power [Jb 9:6], and just his glance is enough to make the earth shake [Ps 104:32].
According to Job 26.7, however, the earth rests on nothing.
Beneath it, if not beneath the sea on which the earth floats, was the underworld, Sheol. Above it was stretched the hemispherical sky [heavens Př 8,27n] like a tent canvas [Ps 104,2; Isaiah 40:22]. It rests on the highest mountains [2S 22.8 »foundations of the heavens«; Jb 26,11 "heavenly pillars"], has gates [Gn 28,17] and vents through which the rain falls [Gn 7,11; 2 Kings 7:2; Ps 78,23n], kept according to Jb 38,37 in sacks, while hail, snow, wind and manna are stored in special chambers [Jb 37,8; 38.22n; Ps 135,7n]. On the inside were fixed the stars, the sun and the moon [Gn 1,14-18; Eze 32.7n].
Clouds float under the heavens [Ps 147:8], which the Lord uses as chariots [Ps 104:3], and the birds of the sky fly by [Gn 1:26, 28, 30; 2.19n; 6.7; 7,3 and j.]. On the outer side of the heavens, the heavenly waters are gathered [Gn 1,6n; Ps 148.4; Jer 10:13; 51.16]. From the expression "heavens of heavens" [Dt 10:14; 1 Kings 8:27; 2 Peter 2:6; 6.18; Neh 9:6; Psalm 148,4], some researchers conclude that Israel, like the Babylonians, believed in several layers of heaven, but others consider this to be only poetic hyperbole. In no case is this an attempt to create some "natural science" opinion, but poetic-religious illustrative interpretations of daily knowledge, the basic idea of which was the majesty of God.
Therefore, it is also not possible to introduce the biblical opinion about the universe into a comprehensive system like the surrounding nations. Israel lacked the mythologizing ability to transform the universe into a system of interdependent or warring deities. He used the expressions of surrounding religions, but only to express his basic concept of God as the Creator of heaven and earth [Gn 1,1; 2.4; 14, 19, 22; Psalm 33:6; Proverbs 3:19; 8.27; Isaiah 42:5; 45.18]. That is why the Bible can simultaneously speak of the universe as an unrolled papyrus scroll, described by constellations as signs of the wisdom of God [Is 34:4], or of a palace [Am 9:6; Psalm 104:3].

Where is the table of contents listed in the Bible? What you fail to understand is The Bible defines The Bible
Did you notice that there is not the word "firmament" in that verse? To suggest by David's verse that there is still a firmament- an encasement of water above the earth- even after Noah's flood.. is not honoring the truth of scripture. If this is the case, then why did David mention the waters above 2,000 years later ?
King James Bible
Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens
