Coach, why not just be honest? It's never right to lie, for whatever reason. Or just say that you don't particularly like being set up with women you don't know well.

Then again, that may lead her to believe you are interested, so just be honest.

I too, say honesty is the best policy. If they haven't said anything further though, you don't need to explain further either. But if the situation comes up again, you just need to be honest and tell them, that while you appreciate their concern, this method hasn't really bode well for you, and combined with the fact that you work together, and she's not really your type (no offense), you hope she will understand that you are just not interested in her daughter.

If you tell them your not into dating right now and then next week you meet someone, they will know you are lying, so I would just tell the truth or simply say "no thanks".

IDDQD- I am one of those people that does believe that there is just ONE guy out there for me. If I don't feel any chemistry with someone, I do not think it's fair to lead them on and force something that isn't there.

As far as whether or not I believe there's one girl out there for me, I can't say, really. I try not to say one way or the other when I don't even know myself. In fact, it's this not knowing that tends to drive me nuts. I'll admit that if I knew that I'd be at ease. However, I know it's not possible or even meant for me to know, so I have to focus on other things. My approach is more of it "when/if it happens, it happens" and in the meantime just live life to the fullest everyday.

its amazing the effect the right dame has on a man, it can drive us to frequent her place of work, whether she be a waitress, bartender, masseuse, or Hot Topic store clerk.

A young lady definitely caught my eye lately at the local Thai restaurant, and needless to say, it just may drive me for some Thai takeout 2-3 times a week

I had to learn not to do that to guys- come off as mean or conceited, although I am almost sure that I still come off that way, since I still have a huge issue with pride, hopefully that will be gone soon and I can relax and look at even those men who I am not interested in as brothers and potential friends.

I hear you- live life now, we are not promised anything- although I would like to know what it's like to be in love- just not to the point where that's all I want to think about. Make sense?

I do the same thing. I'll go to the mall and look in and see if she's there even though I have no intention of going into Hot Topic. Thankfully I have my tattoos and sometimes I wear my plugs in so one can't think anything weird about me because I fit in, but my eyes are looking to say the least. Even when I don't stop in the store, I am looking. The day she gave me the link to buy music at that the online store/social site the store endorses, and gave me her username, I saw her in there before I went in, and I had to go to the Gamestop because I was getting nervous to go in there because she was there. I just don't know if this can be compared to a wolf keeping an eye on the next victim or just a wolf checking another wolf out (I hope for the latter to be honest )

Depending on how the next conversation goes with her, I have some ideas to come across non-schalant about trying to get a date with her to have a drink and just talk over a drink and some good food. I'm good at being vague.
