First response?

Hey,
I think I may be pregnant, but I'm at least 5 days away from my AF and can't stand the wait! lol I have a feeling I may be and it has stuck with me for 3 days without ceasing! Usually if I'm not my senses come back to me, even for a milisecond, but not now. Anyway, anyone use First Response? Is it accurate? How long should I wait before taking it?

Oh my! That was quick!!! I really hope you are They say those tests are accurate about 5 days before a missed period, but everyone secretes different amounts of HcG- some women get BFP 8-9 after ovulation, some it takes 15 days after Oing/2 weeks, or longer.

Even if I am it isn't really that quick, I've been w/o BC since Oct. and I charted for 2 or 3 months then.

I think that's what I used. It told me the truth...two years it was no and then boom that beautiful second pink line appeared. I took it the day before AF was supposed to come in it was really pale. Then, I took another the first thing the next morning, and it was really dark.

Even though the box says things about how many days before your period, the real question is how many days has it been since ovulation? They assume you don't know, but if you do that will give you a better idea about whether or not to test. I have gotten a positive on first response at 10 days past ovulation, of course that was the first one I had taken. I've heard of people getting the faintest positives at 9 dpo or even 8, but its a lot less likely. Even at 10 dpo who knows....

I always buy that brand of test, but they are expensive.

I have noo clue when I ovulated, I don't even remember the exact day I started my period. It was either late May or very early June (1st-3rd). I know I should start in about 5 days, but I don't want to wait that long, I'm too impatient. lol

Yeah, I used Wal-Mart brand when I was pg with Remy and boy was I confused! I took both at my friend's house and I told her they were negative and was going to throw them away. Then the "l" line showed up instead of the "-" line so I thought it was negative. She had to tell me it was positive. I'm not doing that here, I don't have a friend to help me decode the stupid thing. lol

I know when I found out I was preggers with Elijah I took the test 4 days before my AF and the positve line came out very dark. I'd go ahead and take one and see.

I will tomorrow if I can find one in town, I found out this evening our grocery store doesn't sell any! So I hope our pharmacy has a decent selection.

Hey Dawn

I saw a commercial for First Response on the tv this morning, supposedly it can detect from 6 days before AF is due.

I have seen a positive at 9dpo from a previous pregnancy, but I think this time was a bit later - maybe 12dpo.

Like Leanna mentioned it's best to go from when you ovulated and if you chart you will probably know when that is. Don't panic though, i've seen some people not get a positive until 18 days past ovulation.

I started bleeding really heavy, so I doubt I am. I thought it might be implantation bleeding, but I read that's supposed to be really light. I don't remember what it was like with Remy, but I remember thinking it was my period until it stopped a couple of hours later.
