  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Some of these things aren't natural to everyone.
So I think its time to tell him that this is how I like to be kissed. Tell him its too much saliva.

I know a lady who meet this trumpet player. Turned out he held his lips tight when he kissed like he did when he played the trumpet. She didn't like those kisses. After a while she said told him to loosen his lips and then she loved kissing him. They are married 50 years now.
So its good practice to learn to talk about these things.

I dont think it's a signal for how your chemistry will be. He might just be inexperienced at kissing. Or no one has ever told him he was bad at it, so he never changed the way he did it.

It's a lot like having sex for the first time. Most people I've heard from said the first time sucks. But is that a reflection of chemistry? No way!

I'm experiencing the strangest mixture of emotions here. I'm like half amused and half totally grossed out by some of these testimonies.

Also, nobody, and I repeat nobody should ever throw in tongue action during kissing unless they know what they're doing. That's a really gross and embarrassing #fail if you get it all wrong. Lol

She actually kissed me first but kind of did it out of nowhere, you know how you press against the person when you kiss? since I wasn't ready that sudden weight caused me to trip and we both fell backwards into a bin of laundry. She almost died laughing.

I never kissed any lady (excludings cats and dogs), even my ex GF.

So I have no clue.

I've never experienced this either.

when I met my future hubby, we had been friends for months, going to college together, studying and hanging out.

We loved each other madly and that first kiss was great.

edit to add: I agree, we had such incredible chemistry, I knew immediately that he was the one for me, when we finally reached that first kiss.

I was kind of shy and did not have my real first kiss until I was about 16. Once I did it though I was very good at it. I have had women melt in my arms from a kiss. Unfortunately I got belles palsy a few years back and it paralyzed the left half of my face for about 6 months and once I hit full recovery I still have nerve damage in the left side of my mouth which makes kissing feel weird to me. The women still say they love it but to me its weird feeling.

I also have to agree that tongue kissing is not what kissing is about. When I kiss somebody and they start to tongue it grosses me out and it shows they have very little experience in what love is about.

Some say your first kiss can tell a lot about a future relationship, your chemistry.

My first kiss was horrible. I had to make the first move and the guy slobbered all over my face. Subsequent kisses were just as bad.

Thoughts?

Perhaps it would be better to think about it like a skill. Nobody starts off as a skilled pianist, but rather we all start off pretty bad at it, however, this does necessarily mean that we will always be a bad at it. He might not even know that he is bad at kissing. I think whether he gets defensive or whether he is willing to accept correction would be a much better indicator of your future relationship and chemistry.
