  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Good day everyone, I am tired, this time change always gets to me for a few days.
I enjoyed the scripture verses today that you posted Sirender, and your qoutes too, Brenda.
I don't know why love hurts so much Sirender, maybe because our feelings are running deep when we are in love, and then, when someone hurts us, it is a deep hurt.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable Sunday. Remember, this is the day that the Lord has made, let us all rejoice and be glad in it.
Hugs to everyone.

I have to believe that it is a type of sharing in HIS sufferings when we hurt when we love.
Thanks, Susie.
That is a lovely thought, I had not thought of it that way, thanks for sharing.

His wounds are definitely deeper than our hurts - this I do know, so why do we have to suffer at all? I suppose so we know HIS pain to some degree - don't friends feel for one another and share in their glories as well as their griefs. Yes, I can see this truth of what it means to be in a true relationship with our Lord.

Well, according to my favorite minister, Charles Stanley, our Lord allows such suffering for many reasons, a lot we will never really understand until we meet Him face to face. I also think, at least for me, that the suffering helps me to be more compassionate to others when they hurt, if I had not hurt, then, I could not relate to their hurts.
