Good. the book (piers anthony's) was disgusting.
Bytheway... the book firefly by piers anthony isn't worth reading.

Nope nothing to do with Anthony's book. That was a very strange book o.0

Not one I recommend either.

He evidently had a long fanmail-turned-penpal conversation over several months/years with a young fan who was suicidal, had been abused and was a cutter. That experience had an effect on the characters and plots of his Chaos series as well as his Firefly novel. Strictly speaking I wouldn't call the novel SF or Fantasy. More of an attempt at a best-seller-style thriller or something.

The only Piers Anthony book that I actually liked, was the Death one.

wow!

YOU HAVE TO SEE SERENITY! I honestly have never been so affected by a film.

Firstly Joss has done a great job of making it accessible to newbies (and therefore commercial) without holding back story development. I like the ways he's filled you in on information you need to know. One puzzlement, cant tell you much but a piece of information relating to one character is not clearly put over which was a suprise.

There are specific moments when we all teared, there are moments which make you insanely happy (again can't tell you why you'd be sad or happy!), some things are expalined which you thought you already fully understood.

You can tell it's a bigger budget, but you've still got these great wonky camera shots.

A few of the lesser characters aren't seen, but we may see them in the next film! :D :D

You get more of a feel for Serenity herself, although this may just be because it's on the big screen. I knew there was a seating area next to the kitchen but frankly had never noticed it! I've just realised you don't see into any of the bunks, in fact you don't see much of the kitchen, or the engine room, or the medical room either!! But you don't realise!

Anyway it's 01:24 that was just what came outta my head, I'll share more tomorrow!

For those of you who have access to the DVD of the Battlestar Galactica mini-series, there is a hidden item you might like to see. Similarly to the way that was done in the movie The Core where in the first scenes setting up the discovery of the problem, in one scene, where the pigeons in Trafalgar Square are going crazy—when the bird are crashing into the store window, if you watch in slow-motion, you see that one of the birds is actually a fish.

If you put the Galactica DVD in, run it fast foreward to just before the 14 minute mark, pause the movie, then start running foreward in slow-motion. Watch the sky, as the scene shifts upward to show several ships flying by. They deliberately, put in one we all know and love.

Today I walked in the Heart Walk and I won a Serenity T-shirt from the Regal Cinema booth. I'm so excited!!! I just had to tell y'all.
Oh, I will be in training for work that week in another city so I may not be able to see it opening day. :(
We have these awesome theaters here called Alamo Draft House and I wanted to see Serenity there opening day b/c they make the whole experience really cool.
I'm counting the days.

I went with some friends last Friday to a Firefly party. There was a large group that got together and watched around half of the episodes in the series. This was the first time my roommate had seen it and he is now crazy about Firefly too! We finished watching the series the next day. I have to say for me it was just as awesome watching it a second time!

Even better at the party a representative from Universal brought posters, hats, keychains, and even tickets to a pre-screening this Tuesday!!! I have to say I'm just ecstatic right now its that incredible. The posters are even full scale double-sided, and they had a ton of them there! I probably should've claimed about 5 or so, but I only took 2. Oh well, can't really complain.

I see that almost everyone has their browncoats on

I found out today that they had a special screening at Alamo Draft House with Jewel Staite and Summer Glau. That would have been so cool.

I will see it Friday as early as possible...I can't wait!!!

For those who don't already know, the soundtrack for Serenity has already been released. I have been listening to it for a couple of days. However, if you don't like spoilers, don't buy or even look at the CD, the names of the musical pieces give away information on what is going to happen during the movie.

I am really unhappy to know that one of my favorite characters is going to die.
