FOX has a track record of cancelling popular shows before giving them a chance. It seems that there is someone at FOX who has a lot of say-so in making these decisions who has some rather strange taste. I can't recall off-hand, but my son and I were talking about this a few days ago, and we came up with a list of about 20 shows that FOX has done this to. Most of which, like Firefly never even got to air all the episodes that they still had in the can.

Talk about having a need for instant gratification. Or they decide that they want to make drastic changes to the shows that just make them completely whacked-out.

They say Fox is pretty conservative, politically speaking. In Firefly, Whedon made some jokes they could be seen as anti Bush, at least in my view. Unfortunately I don't remember them right now (too early in the morning I think).

My son is one of the biggest Browncoat fans out there. He is constantly searching for the latest on Firefly. He picked up this information from a sight where he first heard that Serenity was in the works.

I've heard the CW is considering bringing it back as a
series, miniseries or movie for next season. Hurrah!
For you who missed my message board posting, on
Tuesday, Nate Fillion, Summer Glau and Gina Torres
were seen coming out of one of the exec buildings at
Paramount, where they are putting together the new CW unit.

Keep those emails over-flowing in!!

Odd. I thought Fox just didn't think there were enough action sequences? If there was anything anti-Bush in it loads of my mates would have loved that, but I didn't see anything of the sort in it. There wasn't anything anti-bush. While there was much that was anti-authority I cannot see how that is any different from, say, Dark Angel (which managed to get as far as a second series on their network).
