awww VH, i remember when i tried to get a first time job, i got so many rejects that i didn't expect anything at all (short of going to work in a butcher shop with extreme low pay), but God thought otherwise. Feeling discouraged is part of it, but letting it stop you from applying for other jobs is NOT in the God given manual. Maybe you can give yourself a break and start the job search again later (I do that when i'm feeling absolutely worthless)

have you thought of doing volunteer work? um, with the interviews, i know some people who ask the interviewers what went wrong, so they can improve themselves.

Luckily, Washington has the highest minimum wage in the United States... $7.16 an hour, and even that is more money than I've ever been paid at an hourly rate.

VH, prayer does a lot too! Next time let us know ahead of time and let us all be praying for you! Be patient and wait upon the Lord, HE has the right job for you! My first job I got when I went in to look at some clothes and decided to ask the lady if she might need any help... she did and I was hired on the spot! I used the steamer and got clothes ironed and ready to go on the racks in a dress shop! LOL, a bit claustraphobic but I survived! Point is VH, leave all things in His hands, HE will help you! 's It's not about you or your skills dear one, it's about being available when someone NEEDS help! (Right place at the right time...) The good thing is... we don't depend on luck, we depend on JESUS!

I know the job front is a whole lot less earthshaking than Hurricane Ivan, but prayers would be muchly appreciated. It's sort of hard to keep the focus on Jesus, though, when I'm the only Christian in the household and I have Mum breathing down my neck... (I think I'm turning into an Australian! Crikey! )

Oh VH!!! I'm SO sorry you are in such a bad situation but think of it like this, you have been given a mission field RIGHT OFF!!! 's Love them, even when they are hateful or mean to you, offer kindness for anger or baiting. The ornerier they get, the more you ask The Holy Spirit to touch them and bless them. (It works!)
We will pray for you VH, that is what Christian Brothers and Sisters are to DO! Remember Moses needed other believers (Aaron and Joshua I believe) to hold up his arms or he would have failed. It's such a beautiful reminder of how we must lift each other up when we get down or heavily burdened! 's

That sounds like a good idea. We should get the trip to the seer underway soon, so Ti explaining on the way would work well.

She has Zantukites on the mind... not to mention the whole thing with the Direwolves is bugging the heck out of her. She'd probably save the explaining until the way back, assuming Xer and company got a positive verdict! (As evidenced by them not becoming dragon food canapes!)

anyway, about vrain bugging ti, I don't think he'd do that because obviously Ti has kept to herself, so I don't think Vrain's going to start trying to talk to her all of a sudden. I was thinking it would have to be Ti who suddenly came and blurted stuff out, both because of what I just said and because I got the impression from LF's posts that the desire to speak was gradually building up in her and eventually she would be compelled to speak. I figured it would probably come as a surprise to Vrain and Jodi as well, catch my drift?
