Finally passed my skills test

I finally passed my nursing skills test...I discussed with this instructor what I "missed" on the last check...and I was right about where my sterile field was and where it wasn't and should have passed...that instructor wasn't. I don't really care because I get so nervous that God must have decided that I needed the practice performing in front of an instructor. I got the skills...but get performance anxiety when being "tested".

Thanks for the prayers. The last skills test will be on passing medications...and I'm hoping I don't get anxiety about dropping pills in a cup. Luckily, that isn't until December so I got time to have anxiety attacks on other issues for a little while. LOL.

I was told I did a "very nice job" with putting on my sterile gloves....(l'll take my praise where I can get it).

Great! Maybe try to relax a little after the anxiety of that last test.

And before your next "test" PRAY for the Peace of God that passes all understanding. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your hands to be steady and solid. And as the Dr. said, in the mean time.....relax when you can (I don't know when that would be in your situation lol but....)

No time to relax...a care plan & a complete head to toe health assessment for my extended care patient, and a pharmacology exam are still due this week...and another test and a new hospital assignment start out next week. No rest for the weary...LOL.
