I cried when Aeris died too. It was the first time (and one of the few) I cried over a video game (not including lost game data).

What made me angry was some magazine (EGM2) carelessly mentioned that Aeris died before I got to that point in the game.

I love the way PSM puts it, "Aeris is dead. Get over it."

I use Megalixirs instead of her limit breaks. They work the same. Temporary invulnerability? Final Attack + Phoenix. I never die anymore, unless against Ruby Weapon.

I never levelled her up because she was so weak physically and she just annoyed me. I hated before she died - you had to put her in your party. I rushed and ran from every battle in sight.

Back on topic, if Advent Children made sense, there would be no humans in it. To my knowledge, the Planet rejected humans when Holy was free to release its power, when Sephiroth died. Humans ceased to exist. I need to watch the ending again to prove my theory.

And Tissue you are not the only one who cried when Aeris died. Shoot I cried while playing FF8 when I thought Rinoa was going to die.
I laughed when she died...I cheered for Sephiroth throughout that game
I don't think anyone has mentioned this in this thread..but FF7 Advent children is being developed on a UMD, and will play on the Sony PSP.

You weren't able to get her back in the american version..but I recall that if you go into her church after she's died..you'll see a ghost image of her on th screen..it's only there for like half a second and then dissapears.
