I just got this movie. I thought that Squar Enix did a wonderful job creating this movie using their new CG technology. It was their first movie too. It followed the story quit well in my opinion. I look forward to seeing more games and movies come out of the FF7 series like Derge of Serberus and Crisis Core.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh sweet your avatar is Reno. Nice! I don't get it though, the turks try to kill cloud in the game, but in the movie they are friends.

Oh the new video games are Crisis Core which goes more into detail and better graphics of the game; and Derge of Serberus which takes place 3 yrs latter and goes more into detail about Vincent, which whom is the main hero.

The film was awesome, has anyone catched the Japanese released anime that accompanied it called The Last Order? I downloaded it subtitled and it really explains what happened before the start of VII with the relationship between Zack and Cloud.
My only complaint really is Cait Sith's voice, but other than that, brilliant =]

Yeah zack looks different in the movie than in the game. I wouldn't have recognized him if he hadn't had said "We're friend's right?".

Advent Children was an awesome movie in terms of action, but in terms of everything else it was pretty weak. I speak as someone who's beaten FF7, and I can tell you, even if you haven't beaten the game, you're not missing much. As long as you can appreciate the awesome battle scenes, you're not missing anything.
