Actually, that is what I am in the process of doing. I have 24 pages (15000 words) so far. A short clip if I may (note:this is the prelude to a large battle scene):
After a while, the dragons stopped flying and started hovering in midair. Its right below us, said Merlin. Then a beam of light shot straight upwards from the ocean and narrowly missed Hal. In an effort to see what was below him, Hal spun the water away form a central point to reveal a domed city beneath him.
Attack! cried Ravalon as the dragons dove down into the exposed area. Hal jumped off of Ravalon and as he landed, he twirled his staff and thrust it point down into the magically reinforced dome. With a cry of triumph, Hal unleashed his magic straight down into his staff and into the dome. Blue and orange blinding light coursed around him in the air. Hal called forth all the magic that he could withstand and then he drew upon some more. The clouds started to cover the sky as lighting shot past the dragons into the water. Fire shot from the earth around the edges of the dome and concentrated around Hals head. Light from the sun itself shot forward overhead. With a wave of his hand, Hal made the sky transparent like it is at night, and all could see the stars above. Then Hal concentrated, and light from the stars came down in beams of white light and the darkness as black as starless space was visible as it to came down over his head and started to swirl around the other elements.
Give me your strength! Hal shouted. Then Merlin and the dragons let forth their magic in all their color signatures ranging form pitch black to pure white. All the energy and magic formed together above Hal. With a word of command, Hal summoned the energy above and it dove into him, filling him with power beyond his imagination. Now he was truly alive! Magic coursed though his veins, where there was once blood, there was liquid energy. He was filled with power that even he, the most powerful magic user ever, could barely control. With his strength, Hal tunneled all the might and power of the combined magic into his staff and into the dome. Despite the strength of countless spells placed and woven into the dome above the Sorcerers base, it could not withstand the sheer power of Hals magical onslaught. Suddenly, a crack appeared under Hals feet. Encouraged by the sign that the dome was starting to weaken, Hal renewed his efforts. Then several strands of cracks appeared and started to spread out like a spider web. Finally, the cracked glass shattered around him as he fell to the ground far below.
