if you read 1 Corinthians 5 closely Paul states we are not to judge those who are not of the Lord and are clearly in the world- God will judge them. We are to correct and bring back those who are the Lords.

We are to hate the sin and love the sinner.

I agree wholeheartedly.

And yes, ral, you had a great post. Love must be displayed to the sinner, which can't be done through hurling scripture at them as great stones. Truth must be expressed, but not with animosity. As lb wrote..."We are to hate the sin and love the sinner."

Whoever the woman on there is now, I like. She is full of worship, pray, the Word, and the Spirit. I'd go for that! I pray I can persuade my step-mother to go with me, a fellow-believer too. She's right on the way. She lives in Yeehaw Junction, where SR 60 meets the FL Turnpike.

It was announced that the style of worship in the morning varies, to reach many, to release all the giftings, to embrace the diversity in the Body. I think that's great! I pray the Lord sends me on my appointed day.

Just as Israel had a yoke of bondage by way of the Assyrian, you may be under a yoke of bondage from the enemy.

Isaiah 14:24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: 25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

Jesus has come to destroy the yoke of the enemy, the yoke of bondage. In exchange He gives a light yoke, easy to bear. He specializes in lifting the needy, in making crooked places straight, in turning a wilderness into a pool of water, and carrying our heavy load. He says this:

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Yokes are contraptions used for linking two animals together, usually oxen. You may be under a yoke of bondage, a hard heavy yoke. It may be a yoke of addiction, it may be a yoke of debt, or a number of things. But the yoke of the Lord is different. His yoke is easy. His yoke is light.

To be yoked means we have to walk with Him. Walk in the light you have, the light of His Word. In other words, walk in obedience to what you know. Abide in His Word, daily, as you need bread daily. How can you walk in the light if you don’t know the light? How can you be obedient if you don’t know what His will is?

Wearing a yoke necessitates closeness. It is impossible not be close while yoked together. Notice Jesus says “take” My yoke. You have a choice, to take His yoke which is easy and light, knowing He will destroy the yoke of the oppressor, whose yoke is hard to bear.

Jesus loves you so much! He’s come to destroy your heavy yoke, and to give you one which is easy and light. Take His yoke, learn of Him, and you shall find rest.

Thankfully, we have an intense time in the Spirit at our church. Maybe not as much as what you see happening here, but it is powerful nonetheless.

Often yokes are also habits (eating habits could be one) and family curses such as abuse and violence that need to have the chains broken from. Mt daughter was physically and mentally abused while living with her dad and stepmom. When she had her own child she had to work very hard at breaking the chain of abuse and in doing that she has saved future generations from recieving that unequal yoking. She couldn't have done it w/o the help of the HS guiding her.

Yes, there are many types of yokes that oppress. Thanks be to God for His goodness, for His declaration that He removes and destroys the yoke. I take it.

Debt and financial oppression are removed and destroyed.

Amen thank you. I was very impressed and grateful that she was able to accomplish that and for my grandson that has never known abuse and would never abuse anyone else either. The work that was put into breaking yokes will carry forth to all my generations because of that, I'm sure, and is proof to me that to 1000 generations He is with us.

I am confident He will, in time.

I think that was wonderful. It is a great experience to be called out and spoken to directly through a prophet, or someone operating under a prophetic anointing. There is a difference. I sometimes step into that anointing, but I am not a prophet. I have been on your end though. It's great!
