I want you to know I don't just sling these scriptures out here on a whim. I felt strongly to post these very ones. It may be for all at this time as a Rhema Word, or maybe for just one or two.

Of course the written Word, the logos, is for all of us all the time. We lay it up in our hearts. However, there is a Rhema Word that we need to hear. It is the Word we specifically need in that hour, in that season of our lives.
Proverbs 13:2 A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

Proverbs 12:14 From the fruit of his words a man shall be satisfied with good, and the work of a man's hands shall come back to him [as a harvest].

Proverbs 15:23 A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is!

Proverbs 18:20 A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.
You have the wonderful privilege of determining how your life will go. It all lies in what you say. It sounds easy, but if you’ve ever tried controlling your tongue, particularly when in adverse circumstances, you know it is not as easy at it appears. The key is what it is in your heart.

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

It is what you delights in that will fill your heart, for that is where you will spend your time giving your attention, therefore filling your heart. You will think much on what you delight in. Out of this abundance your mouth will speak. Even the things thought on that don’t bring delight, but are mulled over frequently, end up making its way out of the mouth. Therefore the key lies in what you think about.

Do you want what you presently have? Or is there something else you desire? What is the thing you desire? Is it promised to you in the Word? Then it can be yours. Your job is to think on it. Your job is to see what thoughts, or what commands, what admonitions are attached to it so you have it all in context. God’s gifts are free, and He even tells how to go about attaining them, i.e. If you do this, then I will… This is how God has set things, with an action from us. We choose whether we want result “A” or result “B”. The Lord will help us in every way. He’ll give the desire, He’ll help you overcome, He’ll nudge you gently if you go the wrong way, there is nothing He won’t do to help you. He only stops short of doing your part Himself.

Fill your heart in abundance with God’s Word, and let it come out of your mouth. You will indeed be satisfied with good.

The Lord bless each one of you.

You're going to start reading this, and think, "This isn't encouraging!" But hang in there. It gets encouraging. :) I have to post the whole thing so you can get the context.

Judges 10:6 Then the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the people of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; and they forsook the LORD and did not serve Him. 7 So the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the people of Ammon. 8 From that year they harassed and oppressed the children of Israel for eighteen years—all the children of Israel who were on the other side of the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, in Gilead. 9 Moreover the people of Ammon crossed over the Jordan to fight against Judah also, against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was severely distressed.
10 And the children of Israel cried out to the LORD, saying, “We have sinned against You, because we have both forsaken our God and served the Baals!”
11 So the LORD said to the children of Israel, “Did I not deliver you from the Egyptians and from the Amorites and from the people of Ammon and from the Philistines? 12 Also the Sidonians and Amalekites and Maonites oppressed you; and you cried out to Me, and I delivered you from their hand. 13 Yet you have forsaken Me and served other gods. Therefore I will deliver you no more. 14 Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress.”
15 And the children of Israel said to the LORD, “We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.” 16 So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the LORD. And His soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel.

The Lord had told them as they moved into the promised land not to make associations with the other nations, lest they learn their ways and serve their gods. Israel disobeyed, and what the Lord warned is exactly what happened. As a result, they were oppressed by other nations. What is encouraging is God in His mercy took them back when they repented. They put away the other gods, and came to the Lord with their whole heart. He received them, and in the end defeated their enemies and took them out from under their oppression.

So how does this relate to us? God is the same today. If there is something that has taken our affections and we love it more than God, it has in essence replaced our glorious God. We then fall prey to our enemy. The good news is, if we put away that thing, whatever it is, the Lord will receive us. If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive our sin and to cleanse is from all unrighteousness.

If we humble ourselves, as we see Israel did, He will hear from heaven.

Let's keep this in mind if it seems our prayers are not being answered. This could be one reason.

Have wonderful day, and know the Lord is for you and not against you.

amen! Good thoughts there Cindy. I put some more thoughts in my blog if you want to read and comment. May sound bizzare, but that is how the Lord is speaking to me lately.

It wasn't bizarre. I really enjoyed it. The Lord talks to me in that way too, at times.

I read the 3 most recent entries. Did I cover the one you wanted me to read the other day?

Last week while in worship I received a Word from the Holy Spirit. As I sat and read what was given I looked around the room in wonderment and shock. It was impressed upon to speak up, however I did not feel comfortable with doing so. Mostly my discomfort came from the belief that what was said, from the Spirit, would not be accepted coming from me. Because of this action of disobedience and rebellion, I have sinned against the Lord and stand in judgment of accepting and participating in the acts which were revealed. What a wonderful Savior we have that we can seek forgiveness and by His blood the sin be removed. However as a part of repentance we must then turn from that which we have done.

Last night, while in group, a couple teachers brought to attention this National Day of Silence. As if we don’t war enough for our communities, cities, states, and nation it was revealed that several students from LifePoint participated in this event. So what was this non-verbal act committing to?

The National Day of Silence brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. This year’s event will be held in memory of Lawrence King, a California 8th-grader who was shot and killed Feb. 12 by a classmate because of his sexual orientation and gender expression. Hundreds of thousands of students will come together on April 25 to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBT behavior.

I was shocked! Although it is true we should stand against name-calling, bullying, and harassment in schools this states that we should also be tolerant of sexual immorality. The parents of the children, from LifePoint, should be addressed. It may be the parents had no idea or it could be that the parents also embrace this tolerance. However, as Christians, we are not to tolerate the acts of sexual immorality and if one of our own has been deceived we are to bring them back into obedience of our Lord and Savior; first for the individual’s spiritual betterment, our spiritual betterment, and the over all spiritual betterment of the church.

LifePoint leaders and followers are working very hard and their efforts are being noticed. This is a great encouragement for those looking the Lord for His purpose and plans concerning the growth and commitment of the church. However something has happened and action must take place. The Word given by the Holy Spirit last Sunday encompasses an assorted range- which needs to be looked at, confessed, and then acted upon. As people gather to pray for LifePoint may these areas be included.

The Word which was given Sunday April 20, 2008 during worship.

Revelation 2; 4-6

Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

John 15; 5-8

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Acts 2; 38,42-47

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

James 2; 14-20

What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

1 Corinthians 5

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles—that a man has his father’s wife! And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.
For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”

1 Kings 15; 4-5

Nevertheless for David’s sake the LORD his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, by setting up his son after him and by establishing Jerusalem; because David did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

May the Lord’s face shine upon everyone this week. May your homes be blessed as you bear His name.

Keep on keepin’ in Him
Shalom,
Deborah

Just to clear things up, the church's school is called "LifePoint"? And they participated in the Day of Silence? - which I thought that's what it was. I received email on it, and passed it moms I know of school-age children.

The scriptures you have address it perfectly.

As for repentence, yes, do whatever the Lord tells you now. The past is behind you. :)

Hi Everyone!

Hi Libertybelle. I read your post regarding the National Day of Silence. It was well written and clearly stated. I want to give you a big one of these  for having strong convictions.

I'm torn by this issue, and I'm left with the old question of "What would Jesus do?" Our news featured a local demonstration where both sides were clearly polarized and resorting to name-calling. One side calling the other "bigots", and the other side condemning homosexuals to eternal hell. It was a sad portrayal of Christian love.

I've known many homosexuals - none of whom chose their orientation, most tried to deny it, and some even married and had children. They all saw that coming to terms with their orientation as an act of courage and self-acceptance.

On the other hand, the bible clearly states how God abhors all sin, and sexual sin, including homosexuality is especially abhorrent to God. I know I have sexual sin in my past, and I still struggle with occasional lust which Jesus likened to adultery. Without the blood of Jesus, I would be just as condemned as any homosexual.

As Christians, we're called to renounce all sin, but we're also called to love others and let Jesus live through us. So on what side of the fence would Jesus stand in regards to protecting homosexual teenagers? Some of whom have been killed and brutally tortured for engaging in sexual acts. We don't know, but I imagine he would be quite displeased with the protesters plastering his words and using them to judge and condemn others.

Its a hard issue. Like all sin, homosexuality is widely accepted as the norm. Maybe we should be taking an active stance against sexual sin, but perhaps our focus should be off the relatively small group of homosexuals, and instead focus on the rest of us who engage in premarital sex, erotic fantasies, etc. The population would be much broader and the tactics used to reach them would be much softer and loving. After all, we want to love people to Jesus, not reject them and certainly not condemn them.

This is just another view, and one not intended to create controversy. Like I said, I don't know what the appropriate approach is to reaching homosexuals. I do know they need Jesus, and we, the church, need them. Perhaps taking a stand against violence over one group of sinners is a Christian act of love that will touch their hearts and move them to Christ. I simply don't know.

Here is what I long for to see more and more people set free totally and completely, to see the sleepy church awaken everywhere, to see many come to salvation and the desire of my heart is to be part of the solution, much more sothan ever before as I come closer to Jesus!

DEAR LORD I HAVE A PROBLEM
Dear Lord, I have a problem and I want to be part of the solution,
I long to see so many people falling truly in love with you in this generation,
You have set a fire within my heart, luke warmness won’t cut it any more,
I’m falling more in love with my Jesus and I long for people to know the one I adore.

You have captured my heart and I am wrecked for anything else,
For you I must live I can no longer live for self, you must increase,
I know you have birthed a passion deep within me for the lost and the hurting,
But Lord I want to help in part to awaken your people who are sleeping.

This passion is taking hold of me and ripping me so completely apart,
I don’t know the why’s and how’s of how to do what you would have me do,
But I know that you hold the future and will help me to make a start,
So through prayer and supplication I come fully ready to be used of you.

You are so precious to me Lord and I want to know you more and more,
So consume every part of my being, right to it’s very core,
Lord you have always been faithful to me down through the years,
You have carried me through times of blessing and through tears.

And I confess that I have so often taken my eyes off of you,
But I know without a shadow of doubt that you carried me through,
And you brought me back to the foot of the cross that I might see,
That without you in my life Lord Jesus, just where would I be?

So hear I am humbly begging your forgiveness my dear Saviour,
And asking you this day to begin raising me up as a true warrior,
Who will play a part in heralding in your Kingdom on this earth,
For a fiery, loving passion for you in me you have birthed.

So Lord I ask you to help me, to express in poetry and other ways,
Just how wonderful and beautiful you are to me this day,
That, others might behold something of the beauty of your countenance,
And they might come hungry and thirsty to behold your radiance.

For I love you Lord and I want the world to know it’s all about you,
We were born with a purpose, a relationship with you to pursue,
And that means more than saying a quick dutiful prayer at the end of the day,
You have called us to be lovers of you walking with you along the way.

For you are the bridegroom who beckons his bride to come as lovers,
And for those yet to come you are beckoning them come hither,
Because you first loved us, giving your life for us that we might be saved,
For your desire is for people to really know they are loved.

I loved the worship as I watched online, but I have to say, I miss hearing the Word. I think if I had watched Gloria teach, at 9, I would have come away with more than watching TB lay hands and say, "Bam."

Now I am having misgivings about going.

On his on-line sermons, he spends a good hour or so teaching on the Word. I've been impressed with his intelligence and insight - that's why I keep listening to him. I haven't noticed the same level of teaching at the revival meetings. It seems to be more hyped-up demonstrations than teaching. I can't imagine any preacher having material ready for thirty consecutive sermons, so I can understand why.Perhaps all he can do is be filled with the Holy Spirit and walk out onto the platform. Even that is impressive.

At a certain point though, I imagine people will lose some of their enthusiasm for Holy Spirit drunkenness and will want real meat to help them get sober and functional in the world. Until then, the crowds keep coming and its interesting to watch. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely attend a couple of times just to experience the intense atmosphere. But for real substance, I'd look elsewhere.

Good morning everyone.

The children talked of in the letter attend public school but their parents attend LifePoint. My group concensus was that even though the children participated that it was the parents fault because they were probably accepting of it themselves.

I challenged this presumption, very poorly by the way, and let everyone know they were wrong for sitting around presuming and ultimately judging. However it made the Scripture given to me make sense.

You're not alone with conflicting thoughts on the situation ral. But if you read 1 Corinthians 5 closely Paul states we are not to judge those who are not of the Lord and are clearly in the world- God will judge them. We are to correct and bring back those who are the Lords.

We are to hate the sin and love the sinner.

For your desire is for people to really know they are loved.

God is doing amazing things there but I do agree, there needs to be more of the Word brought in- am sessions have someone preaching a message.
I'm here to tune in to it now. I was so hoping to hear that. Thanks for letting me know.

Thankfully, we have an intense time in the Spirit at our church. Maybe not as much as what you see happening here, but it is powerful nonetheless.

I'm considering a morning meeting.

I would ask everyone agrees with me for my daughter's healing. I declare she is healed!
