James 1:25 But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).

26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person's religious service is worthless (futile, barren).


27 External religious worship [religion as it is expressed in outward acts] that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit and help and care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and need, and to keep oneself unspotted and uncontaminated from the world.

Okay, looking quickly at this quickly a religious person , which James is referring to and outward conduct. All the religious pomp and ceremony in the world won't make up for someone who cannot control their tongue or their actions.Infact in chapter 3:8 of James he addresses the issue of taming the tongue. Jesus himself said that we would know a Christian by their fruits - look at what they do .

We need to purify our hearts, allow the Lord to change us through the power of the Holy Spirit. we should keep ourselves unstained by the world How unstained are you and I ? Do we see the world through God's eyes as laid out in the word or by the philosophies of men? Are we ready to help those most in need , to people ot there see Jesus in us? We need to be obedient to the Lord and do what he would have us do.

I have a testimony of healing. My daughter sprained her ankle Friday. By evening she could not put any weight on it. I kept confessing the Word over her all afternoon and evening. When she lay down at night I laid my hands on her and prayed the prayer of faith. She awoke yesterday able to walk on it! Amazing! Wonderful Jesus! All the sprains I ever had grew worse in the night and morning was far worse. Not for her! Not with the promise of His Word.

His Word is sure. And His works follow His Word.
Psalm 33:4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all His work is done in faithfulness.

John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority;the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

I'll have to get back to this one. Time to head out the door in a few minutes, but the Lord is showing me things here that need to be brought out into the light.

HD, hold fast to the Word. Don't lose hope. God has never forsaken the righteous, nor has his seed ever begged bread. Has He not said? Will He not make it good? Surely, He will do that which He has said. Just thank Him and praise Him.

Glenda, I meant to tell you how much it blessed me to hear you went outside last Sunday to wave your flags and worship the Lord. It saddened me and blessed me at the same time. It blessed me because you passed an opportunity to nurse your wounds, choosing rather to lift your praise to the Lord. You are an example of what to do in that place. It saddened me for the hurt you are experiencing.

We have Craig and Lori Kinsley coming to our church on Tuesday for five days. Praying this takes the revival to a higher level. BTW they are associates of Todd's. We actually heard them on Friday night 30 miles away from us when we went for a preview for it was the kids night here and it was powerful, ready to swing even higher from the chandeliers, well if we had them" Hee Hee!

Hi Cindy and all... I am about to head away for a family holiday to another state with my husband and children... We will be staying with my husbands mother and step father.. I am not sure if I will have internet access but if I can I will pop back in!! They do have public library's there.. LOL.. We will be gone just over two weeks.. I will miss you all.. if you can please remember us in prayer.. Ha.. if my husband will take me I found a good Word of Faith church close by.. I am hoping the whole family will go with me as a special holiday treat!! My older kids groaned.. LOL.. I never have a holiday from God that should know that by now!!

But what scriptures did you speak over your daughters ankle and how did you apply them??

This is so important to know because we have many opportunities when sickness or injury comes on us or those who live with!!

Praise God your daughter is healed!!

This isn't from James, but from what I read this morning and what the Lord was speaking to me. I think the Rhema word is always good to share because it is alive.

Dreadful things will and already are coming on the earth. To trust in natural means is futile. I will trust in the Lord. I will fear the Lord, and hope in His mercy, for He will keep me alive in famine.

He dwells in a house not made with hands. What kind of house is it? One built by specifications He has decreed. One without blemish, and of the highest quality. One holy and pure is of great value to the Lord likened to pure gold. A vessel of honor He will fill with His glory, as a cloud filled the temple of Solomon.

This all came from the Word and can be backed 100% by scripture. I simplified it for myself. This is God's Word to me today, and what He taught me. Hope you don't mind me throwing it in.

I have prayed for you, precious pc4. I am praying also for your family, that the Lord shows them His goodness, that their eyes be opened to how wonderful He is. I am praying He leads you while you are on your holiday to places where this can take place. I pray He softens their hearts.

I hope you have internet access or I will miss you terribly. I pray you go in the strength of the Lord, you mighty warrior.

If there weren't pm's to check and emails to send I would get right back to where I was with the Word and works topic. I will as the Lord enables me.

What I said to my daughter is that she is healed. We live in the light of the work already being done at the cross. Isaiah wrote about it looking ahead, in Is. 53, Psalms 103 in the present, and 1 Peter 2:24 as already done. I asked her where she stood, for she is of understanding now and able to use her own faith. She said she believed she was healed, and that the Word prevails over everything in the natural. Those may not be the exact words, but the same understanding. Then I spoke to her ankle. I most likely said something like, "You are healed. Pain go." That is what I do every time. Then I thank and praise the Lord for it. He will perform His Word, so I go right ahead and thank Him, knowing He will do it because He said so. I guess there is a lot to this, a lot of understanding that is the bedrock from which I can speak a few words and expect it to come to pass. The power is in the believing, the words a mere vehicle to release that power. That's why it is vital to lay His Words up in our hearts as we would store great treasure, for it truly is that - great treasure.

I spent slightly more time on this in prayer when I laid hands on her before she went to sleep, but not much more. I surely can't remember exactly what I said. I was very tired, I'm not a night person really. I'm at my best in the morning. But I can assure you it was His Word I was praying. I was not begging, I was not even asking, I was declaring, receiving, and thanking because He has already done the work.

We're off for a few days too! But not as long as pc4 - we'll be back on Thursday. We've had hot, hot, hot weather and we're going to a place where its even hotter! I know its not a big deal to those who live in warmer climates, but for those of us in the frozen (well, rainy anyway) North, its such a blessing! We've spent our days boating, hanging out at the lake, or staying inside where its nice and cool. Love you all! Ral.

Weird day. Cloudy and 65. Better than too hot. My son is looking forward to the 4th, he loves fireworks. Never been able to afford any though. Our cities is THE best, with last year they ended with a green pair of dice!

No, I think our city is best. Honestly, our little town does a "bang up" job of it. Pun intended.

65! It was 94 earlier, at 5. The sky looks almost like my avatar, very dramatic. Thunderstorms to the west, but they missed us.

I hope my dear husband has the 4th off to go with us. It won't be the same if he doesn't. I have never bought fireworks in my life. To me, it is a big waste of money, afterwards there is nothing to show for it. Since I've never had money to throw away......

This year though, I did permit my daughter to spend $3 on sparklers and the pop things, the ones you throw on the ground and they pop. I still think it is a waste. What am I teaching her? Oh well. At least it was not a big loss. Ew. I'm convicted. I just told her today that if we are faithful in little we will be faithful in much. And of course that works conversely, if we are unfaithful in little, we are unfaithful in much.

These things are all a personal matter of conviction. I've not thought little of any neighbor spending money on it. I just figured they had it to spend. I have thought little of all the noise late at night! I somehow manage to sleep quite well through it all in spite of it.

Last year, there was this guy (it had to be a guy, I'm sure) who seemed not far away, and every few minutes, he shot on off. From midnight to 4 a.m. My son said not to call on him, but we didn't get to sleep til he was done.

Just a quick note to say hi. Been rather busy the past several days, but hope to catch up on your study as soon as possible.

Too bloody hot here and tons of smoke from all of the forest fires. I sure hope the idiots don't go off and shoot a bunch of fireworks. We haven't had rain in more than three weeks, the air and ground are very dry and it would not take much to start yet another massive fire.

Our region was that way for a long time, and we did have fires. Now we have rain every day. It's thundering now, but no rain here yet. Are there any restrictions in force in regards to the lack of rain?
