Hey Bud! I just popped in and there you were!!! I'm sorry that you're being laid off. That must be hard. I'll pray that you soon find meaningful employment that pays your bills and gives you great joy. What has always worked for me is to see myself as a magnet, drawing opportunities, offers and people to me. I'll pray that you are a magnet that draws the same. Peace.

It sounds as if you've been deepening your walk with God??

My heart and life have been quite full lately. I've been preparing to begin a summer tent ministry where we'll be offering dream interpretation, prophesy and prayer at various summer fair venues. I've been quite excited about it but just recently learned that my church (AG) doesn't necessarily smile upon dream interpretation. I was told to not tell anyone from my church, but I can't live that way, so I met with my pastor yesterday. We had a delightful conversation - about signs, wonders, passionate living, etc. His response to dream interpretation was neither supportive nor condemning. It was such a relief.

Well, I must run. I've got Hamburger Helper on the stove for the kids (sorry Cindy) and Mexican Stew for my husband and me. Later tonight, we have our bible study group and I need to be prepared. I love you all.

Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world! I want more of Him too. As we draw near to Him He draws near to us, both privately and together. It is wonderful how the Lord has knit us together from all over the world. I believe you and each one here have been called by God to be here. It is no accident we are all here fellowshipping, and seeking Him together.

One of the words translated as "seek" in the OT, in Ps. 69:32 to be specific, means to follow after in pursuit. I had a mental picture of what this looks like as I thought of a police officer in hot pursuit of someone. In that case we see someone trying to allude the officer, whereas God is not trying to get away from us at all. But the pursuit part is a good illustration of our seeking after Him. We are hot on His heels, not about to let Him get away. We are not casual about it at all, not seeing where it fits into our schedule, but making it our aim and focus, and putting all our effort into it.

"Seeing" Bartimaeus is a great example of one who pursued Jesus. I call him "seeing Bart" rather than "blind Bart" as he is typically known because he is no longer blind! He can see! All because he wouldn't let Jesus get away from him. Read about it in Mark 10:46 on. He didn't wait for the blessing to drop on him. He was dog-determined to get it. This is how we seek the Lord. We don't quit until we have Him. We invest the time necessary. We seek with all our heart, and then we find Him.

I want to meet with you Cindy.. you have spiritual perception which I know is from the Holy Spirit!!
I was just at another post.. where I shared about Bartimaeus.. Praise the LORD!! I am not going to wait till the blessing drops on me either.. LOL.. I AM dog determined to get it too!! Halleujah..

Have you heard of lamingtons? Or made them? We came across a recipe for it as we were studying Australia and gave it a go. Yummy! It's a keeper. This American has crossed cultural lines once again. I think I eat more from other nation's fare than our own. I have borrowed a few Native American recipes though, but they don't count as the Standard American Diet. (SAD) Lamingtons would go over well with Americans because it's so sweet. I modified it, and will more that I now have the hang of it.

Isn't it cool when you the Lord has you looking at one thing and you see it in many places? I'm thinking of Bartimaeus. How the Spirit does that I'll never know, but I know He does it all the time. I love Him so.

What a great idea! Having ministry at fairs! Why not? There is often card reading and palm reading. The Holy Spirit should be on the scene too. I'm glad you're bringing His voice into the atmosphere. Just what we're called to do. I always think of that at health fairs. Health fairs are dominated by those who are not Christians and they bring in weird things, interspersed with legit tables. Someone needs to set up a table which ministers healing to the whole man - spirit, soul, and body, based on scripture. Jesus should be magnified for He is the healer, and He is the one Who created all things, all the herbs, all the foods that heal. Nothing was made that was made without Him. He deserves a place there.

That's awesome - John Paul Jackson's Streams Ministries people do that too.. They went to "The Haunting" in Salem MA on October 31st.. and they do dream interpretation in other places as well..

The "head" witch came to JPJ and asked who is your teacher?? Your people are more accurate than anyone else here..

He told her that Jesus Christ was his "Teacher.." She said You're a Christian??? You're not like any Christian I've ever met..

What do you think of acupuncture or Tai Chi? Someone asked me about these and I honestly could not think of a problem with either. Yes, they have what we could call "occult" origins from the mystics of the past. And yet, many of our modern day drugs stem from ancient experimentation lead by shamans. Her husband has Parkinson's and was told he could benefit from Tai Chi. I didn't know how to answer her.

Yes, they have what we could call "occult" origins from the mystics of the past. And yet, many of our modern day drugs stem from ancient experimentation lead by shamans. Her husband has Parkinson's and was told he could benefit from Tai Chi. I didn't know how to answer her.

I don't know enough about Tai Chi to give an answer. I would venture to say moving the body in slow controlled movements will help to develop strength, stability, and balance. I haven't looked enough into acupuncture either, but I see no harm in poking fine needles into one's skin. I have a friend, a Christian, who had acupuncture treatments on her face to give her a more youthful, brighter look, and it was highly successful. She's had no negative repercussions that I know of.

Some would disagree with me, and that's okay, but I checked out a few books from the library a few years back on yoga. Some things were weird and obviously had negative influence, but some things were practical, many of which were movements in other exercise programs. Let's face it, you can only move your body in so many ways before you find a repeat somewhere. I took the things my body needed and practice it nearly every day. I split my routine down the middle, using half to warm up and the other half to cool down after my workout. I think on the Lord, pray as I do it, and the Holy Spirit has brought many scriptures to mind, ministering to me as I offer my body as a living sacrifice for Him. The only reason I exercise is to be in shape to do His will. I am more alert and much stronger as I do this. He has charged me to keep this temple.

I've never known yoga from a class of any sort, let alone one taught by someone under demonic influence. I've only known it as the Holy Spirit has pointed things out to me. So I'd say there could be a very great difference there.

I know. I really love my pastor and I'm committed to my church BUT, they have some beliefs that I don't agree with. Oh well. I'm being challenged to grow and learn there anyway.

Thanks for the reply on acupuncture and Tai Chi. I feel pretty much the same way. Love ya! Ral

12 Then they believed His words;
They sang His praise.

The enemy had chased them to the Red Sea and there it looked as if they were doomed; the sea blocked them on one side and the armies of Egypt on the other. They were terrified. They weren't expecting God to deliver them even though they had seen Him do wondrous things in Egypt. Yet the Lord delivered them. Then they believed His words.

It's easy to believe after the fact. Will you believe Him now? Will you believe Him when you're backed into a corner with what appears to be no hope?
