mmmm earl grey, that is my favorite tooEarl Grey is the tea of choice in this house....though occasionally some flavored green tea gets snuck in.
That's my preferenceI am a coffee guy. My wife likes all sorts of different teas but I just can't get into them.
Some green tea tastes like brewed grass clippings, but the flavored stuff ain't too bad.Mr.Jim

Coffee is my first choice as well, but when one marries a Brit and plans to move to his country, it's best to make an attempt to assimilate. I need to cut back on caffeine, anyway, so it's all good, but I detest green tea. It actually makes me sick to my stomach.
Yeah.Of course concern
By first step, you mean actually going that first time?
People say you don't go to England for the cuisine~guess you eat lots of "fish & chips" there?
So white tea doesn't taste like grass then~is it more of a black tea flavor?
Fish, chips, and mushy peas with a nice cup of rosie lea (tea).
That is the feast of kings.
I mean, you live so close to France~do you go over there on occasion and get real food?
ROFL! Tell me about it! But I'm marooned in one of our glorious colonies and am about as far from France as you can get! I'm in New Zealand now and oh how I miss the fish, chip and mushy pea.
But what a coincidence! Just yesterday they had a French Day just round the corner from me and it was freaking awesome! I didn't realise we had so many French peeps down here! Oh yum, I was trying all the French cheeses but had to skip the pastries (on a diet, groan). And it was the first time I tried that drink, Pastise, that they drink before playing petanque. Urgh yuck, it's revolting, aniseedy...puke. But oh yeah, French cuisine is hard to beat!
Oh you coulda skipped just for one day~called it "Research" and reported to us how good it was...
(are you possibly pregnant??) LOLLOL! Oh I was sorely tempted I tell ye!But I had just been to a Farmers Market prior and had already scoffed the following:
*Some funny pastry ball with curry in it (Indian)
*dunked and slurped my way through about 10 samples of ciabatta with different varieties of dips and flavoured oils (Greek and Italian)
*cracker and pickles
*washed down with a delicious new flavoured passionfruit Ice Tea someone has brought out down here.
LOL. My tummy was full and the diet ruined by the time I made it to the French Day. But have no fear, they're having another one on 7 Dec and me intends to do a Marie Antionette! I shall be having my cake and eating eat.
