Hey can ya'll send prayers my way? We are in the middle some pretty bad storm systems and we have one that if it shifts slightly will hit me dead on - so please prayers for safety.

I wasn't bothered till I went outside and the rain is coming down almost sideways :sigh:

I'm so tired  it was a long night. We had tornados, high winds, hail, and flooding across the state. There were 24 deaths in Tennessee last night, and more in in Arkansas, Kentucky, and Alabama. My understanding is that they are still searching to see if any other victims are found. At least tally 47 deaths and over half of those came from TN. Midnight brought round two of the storms to where I live and it was loud and scary because I had no power to listen to the news. Mom still had power and so I called her and she kept me updated. It is going to be a long day across the south as more people are found by injured and dead. So please send prayers down here to everyone that has been touched by the tornados and storms.

I'm praying for you too. For protection, courage and peace. Lord, touch your loving hand upon the state of Tennessee and the southern states. Bless everyone affected by these storms, and give them comfort and strength. In Jesus. Amen.

Sorry I haven't been back here since my post this past week. I've been ahving some tummy problems, and my appt. yesterday had me out when the last of the tornados/storms came through. He kept me safe by letting me feel I needed to stay where I was until it was over before returning home, otherwise I'd have been on the road during.

Today I'm playing catch-up :)
Hugs and hellos!!

Wow. Interesting weather. A couple months ago, the Pacific NW was hit with major flooding. I'd never, ever seen anything like it. In fact, it's being called a 500 year flood - this on the heels of another flooding event two years ago that they called a 100 year flood. The tornados seem more intense as well - or at least more frequent. In fact, we had a funnel cloud here in the NW a few days ago. Global warming, God's wrath, or the beginning of birth pangs? Perhaps a little of all three? Hard to say for certain, but I do know we live in interesting times.

:) I got to see Brett on webcam today :) I can't tell you how happy that made me :) I love talking to him without the webcam but to be able to see *happy smile//sigh*
That's great!
It must make such a difference to be able to see one another.
Technology certainly has it's advantages!

Hi Everyone!

Amanda, I hope you share with us what's happening in your state with the tornado damage. I noticed a college was hit and I thought of you. How are your classes going?

Things are okay where I am. The college that was hit is in West TN and I am from Middle. My understanding is that things are going along nicely and that the Red Cross, the Governor, and the President are working together to take care of everyone.

That's great!

I love being able to "see" him when he is so far away :) it makes things a little easier.
