hi, all!
I'm a cat lover with an 11-year-old tabby named Tiger. According to my wife Chris, Tiger was found by her nephew Scotty in an alleyway in Pittsburgh, PA. Scotty brought it 120 miles or so to Clarksburg, WV, where my wife lived at the time. When she moved to Massachusetts to be with me, she had to leave Tiger with her mother until we got settled. Shortly after our wedding in 2002, Tiger came to be with us.
Tiger and I get along really well. He loves taking naps with me or near me while I'm on the computer.

Speaking of computers, does anyone in here like to chat or instant message? I invite any and all who like to chat to check out my profile and drop me a line. A lot of times nobody is online when I am, and it's frustrating. I like instant messaging a lot and hope to meet some in this group who do as well.

well let me tell you this-I consider myself a cat lover but around here it's unsafe to have them. everything seems to get my cats so I don't anymore. Almost got a kitten this weekend but decided against it.
I've always loved white short haired and the himalayan.

My wife and I are both cat people as well. I'm a dog person too but I adore cats just as much. We currently have three cats in the house.

Liberty (Libby) and Jordan are sisters and they were born on 9/11/02. Libby is a diluted calico and Jordan is a Calico-Tabby.

Then we have Annie. She is a wound up calico. Sadly we had to have one of her legs amputated about a year and a half ago. She got bit by our chinchilla and it got infected and wouldn't heal. Graciously though she doesn't seem bothered by it. She gets around just as well as the other two...she just can't jump up on things like they can. She can still get up on the desk or on the sofa she just has to take a different route.

All three were rescues. Libby and Jordan we got from a lady who ran a local hardware shop. Her cat had a litter and they didn't want any so we agreed to take two.

Annie we rescued from the dumpsters where we take our trash. It was mid December and she was a baby kitten so we didn't want her to freeze so we took her home.

My husband and I felt he was just too little to make it on his own and hated the thought of adding to the feral population so we caught him and have tamed him down—though he, the kitten, is under the delusion that he is a ninja….

By the way..I'm Tammy...and a mega animal lover, cats are my fave...of domestic at least...and my hubby knows I'll take home any stray I find....except we'd need a bigger home

Well, I would have had his picture up, but somehow I lost both his picture and the ability to upload it or any other pictures to this site. I feel so frustrated now.
Can somebody help? I dunno what to do and I am discouraged that the one pic of Tiger I had uploaded and displayed elsewhere on the site is suddenly gone

I keep my stash of images to use on CF by using the Testing 1,2,3 and downloading images directly from my computer.

Just start your own thread, (I keep mine in my favorites list to find it quick. Others are posting their threads) you can download up to 5 thumbnails in one post, and post on your own thread as many times as you like.

Then, once you have them posted there in the thumbnails, click on one to enlarge, right click to copy and then paste it in your posts anywhere else on CF.

Works great for me. Never fail.

I'm owned by 3 cats.

The newest member of the family is Ferguson, a fluffy orange tiger that's going to be HUGE- he's 12 weeks old and his paws are the size of my thumb. And if I hold him, he'll reach from the crook of my arm to the base of my fingers.

Samantha has been with me a liitle over a year. She's white & grey tabby, more of an 'Alpha' than the other 2. It took her a while to get to where she'd trust me, but she's ok now.

And Tygh is my other orange tabby. I got him when he was a kitten- 17 years ago this August. He's Mr Laid Back- nothing bothers him.

I have two cats, but only because our HOA won't let us have the 5 I secretly want. The oldest is Lily and she's our diva kitty. No one can enter our home without paying homage to Lily and she'll follow people around until she feels properly admired . The youngest is Daisy and she's our baby. She whines like one, too. Her hobbies include waking up up at 4:30 every morning and making sure we don't spend anytime alone with Lily.

I'm glad to see guys here. Too many people think of cats as unmanly. My husband loves cats as much as I do.
