• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I don't really know whats wrong with me, I know I suffer from depression and anxiety... but that's about it.
But sometimes I'm fine, then i get times like this, when there is nothing at all wrong I just feel so down, I just want to stop doing anything and cry. but if I get the chance to cry I can't!

I'm working with a boy with down syndrome, and he is very full on, at the moment he is just playing racing car games on the computer, but at times he is so full on and today i just have no motivation and feel bad because i don't feel up to running around with, or after him.
Then I just feel worse because even if i do run around with him I'm not feeling happy and feel like I'm not doing my job well. which doesn't help when I get home and finally have a time to rest, because then I want to just cry AND feel hopeless at my job.
:confused::confused::confused:

I have been to counseling, a few different ones, but the problem is, it doesn't matter how bad I feel, as soon as I walk in the room to the counselor I feel FINE and can't explain what's wrong... I just don't get it!

It sounds as though you are depressed and stressed, sweetie.
If you can't tell anyone what is wrong, could you write it down when you are feeling bad, and then take it with you to see the counselor?
It might be worth seeing a doctor, anti-depressants could help you to see things in a more positive light.

The same thing happens to me when I see my therapist. But I tell myself to not act happy if I am not. Just to be myself. I realized I did smiling but underneath i was suffering. So I am just going to keep trying to stay with the problem to my therapist so we can work on it. Best of luck to you!

I am already on anti-depressants, which helps because now I can actually tell when I'm depressed and stressed where as when I'm not on them I just go crazy and don't know anything is wrong till someone tells me.

Thanks for replying :) I am feeling a lot better today I got to spend the day with a good friend.:clap:
