That's beautiful actually, because you recognize it ! How's your prayer life Alynn ? Tell what you said here to the Lord and ask for help. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness".1 John 1:9

You were forgiven at the cross anyway but speaking for myself I confess daily. He will work with you and draw you closer. And he will work in your heart to where that old hurt can just be layed at the cross, hand those cares over to Jesus and move on. This is something He does inside us over time, it's not our work but His because we believe Him and trust Him to do it. We just have to be willing. This is huge that you see your faults but see, you don't want to live there ? You want to get past that. It takes walking with God. Read 1 John 1:9 again. But here is the thing, don't read it ! It's truth so believe it. Soon your anxiety will go. Believe the other truths that were told you in this thread too. Alynn, God loves new beginnings, you're turning a corner in your life right now as we communicate. We can all sense the sincerity of your concerns.

My prayer life has always been a struggle. I keep being condemned with the hardness of my heart. I've been reading that once you've hardened your heart you've reached the point of no return

Not true. Only fully rejecting Jesus Christ of Nazareth until death.

I don't know what you're reading or from whom but you need a new source and maybe some good solid foundational teaching. What's happened is you have your mind stirred up in the wrong direction and you're believing the lie !! But I fully understand it, been there done that. God ( the whole trinity) loves you and in these times we are in right now comes a test, a slowing down where we are forced to face God one on one and our own possible mortality. But I'm here to assure you ( we all are) that you can turn back to Jesus today. The enemy has had a grip on you and he doesn't want to let you go. Cry out to the Lord freely, He loves it when we do and tell those demons, be they mental or real, you belong to Him. If you were ever born again you Are a child of God. Say it in your mind or out loud Alynn I Am A Child Of God. If you are not born again then ask Jesus into your life, believe He is, believe He died and rose again for all the sins of the world. You are not exempt, trust Him .

Listen, not one of us is worthy of heaven on our own, not one. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. That's why God sent His Son, that we can be forgiven. For as many time as you sin confess it and He is just to forgive them. "But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing". (1 John 1:9). "You will never succeed in life if you try to hide your sins. Confess them and give them up; then God will show mercy to you". (Proverbs 28:13). "And when you stand and pray, forgive anything you may have against anyone, so that your Father in heaven will forgive the wrongs you have done". (Mark 11:25. "Then I confessed my sins to you;
I did not conceal my wrongdoings.
I decided to confess them to you,
and you forgave all my sins".
(Psalm 32:5)

Hi; Romans 8 and 1 Thessalonians 5 are great passages which show how prayer is linked with vital Christian doctrine and experience, through faith in the Lord Jesus.

@Alynn PS: Keep looking up! (Hebrews 12.2: 'Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.')

Is there anyone who feels like Esau? or like repentance is hard to obtain?

I believe something has happened and I did not want to pay closer attention to the Word of the bible and I feel like i can not repent. My heart has been hardened and I feel so empty. Now seeing the importance of obeying Christ. I feel like I can return to him. God is merciful, gracious, and forgiving but he is also just. I've backslide so many times and I believe this last time I backslide was the last straw. Now all that waits is the fearful expectation of Judgement.

I'm just wanting to know if anyone else feels like this?

Everyone experiences this, whether in thought or deed. For the soul the concept of judgment can be a slippery serpent. We have for the most part a very earthly view of it, as much as, or even more so then our view of Esau, and the part he played in the unfolding of this truth we've been called to walk out by God walking in us.

2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Php 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

To be still and know he is God is to firstly quite the mind even down to a single thought, which in one form is what keeping the Passover is relative to. From this vantage point you will not be going about busying yourself with the leaves of a fig tree (so to speak).

Here is the good news you have not out sinned God's grace. God has not given up on you. The bible teaches us:

1Jn 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

That verse suggests, that if you have not died in your sin, you are committing a sin that has not lead to your death, we are to pray for your restoration.

This is because while you live there is hope. The bible tells us:

Heb 9:27-28 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;

That verse says the cross is a life given for a life time of sins. Every sin you commit in this life time is covered by the blood of Jesus.

Yes, because the cross covers a life time of sins.

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

One of the attributes of God is His faithfulness, he does not leave us even if we fall into sin. He will forgive us.

God can restore you completely, and help you grow.

Okay. I feel like I've lost the Holy Spirt though. Nothing feels the same.

Okay. I feel like I've lost the Holy Spirt though. Nothing feels the same.

The fact is that when we sin God does with draw His blessing. Our sins cloud out His presence. It does not mean that He has abandoned us, it is a correction.

Job 36:8-11 But when people are prisoners of suffering and pain, God points out their sin and their pride, then he warns them to turn back to him. And if they obey, they will be successful and happy from then on.

We would not expect God to make a person feel good while they sin? All sin withdraws God's presence for a time.

Repentance can bring a restoration of God's felt presence, but it may not be immediate.
