Chirstian (maybe more Pentecost now) but my whole family doesn't go to church and are really worldy, and they don't understand what I believe and why I view things the way i do now. It isn't exactly the same but I feel ya. so may family does acknowledge knowledge there is a god as your family seems to do to. my suggestion is to tell them your still worshiping and believing in the same god. your just doing it in a different way.

You gotta remember, God made denominations. Different ways of looking at the life he gave. As long as you believe that God is the creater of all things and that Jesus died on the cross for you, you are a CHRISTIAN. Doesn't matter what denomination. Respect your parents, yes, but it doesn't matter what denomination you are as long as you make sure you are a Christian. You see something in your denomination that makes you want God more? Go for it, but respect your parents. The internet is a great place, churches online, great for people like you. Go where your parents want you to go, but online, you can watch sermons. My uncle watches a sermon every week online, but his roomates never went to church so he felt outside the circle. You can make it though, just trust God.

Hope that helps;

I may not be a christian but I have experienced religious (or rather non-religious) intolerance by my family. Main thing: stand strong. Believe what you want to believe, while your actions are controlled likely mostly by your parents at the moment, your mind is your own. Like Comatose said, seek sanctuary in places where your beliefs can be expressed and shared freely, like the internet. Remember, you're never alone in your beliefs.
