Sometimes I feel like a fraud Christian. I believe in God and Jesus but then everything goes downhill from there. Sometimes I feel like God doesn't bless me/help me out at times because I'm not a strong enough believer. I don't know what to do about this.

I know if you stop believing then all your worldly problems will go away, I know, I tested this fact over and over , And every time I do, my life is fixed.

All the problems in your life are due to demon attacks because you are a believer, if you was not then you would be left alone.

We need to praise God every day because the evidence we are saved is our horrid life being attacked all the time. We pick up our cross every day and bear the attacks.

Be patient, in the kingdom, when we are there together, we can smile at the fact we won the fight with the salvation of Jesus.

Just remember this one fact, this life is not valid because we die, death makes this life worthless in a way. So why live for it? Why do we want things that will die or break or mold or go bad or divorce us or cheat on us or lie to us? Then, we die.

This is why we live for the kingdom of God and we bear the attacks.

James 2:19 comes to mind. Becoming a Christian takes more than belief. The "belief" of John 3:16 is not "head knowledge" mental belief, but trust. One must trust in the Word of God that says Jesus died in our place for our sins, was buried, and rose again, 1 Corinthians 15:3,4. One must call upon Him to save them, Romans 10:13; and receive Him John 1:12 to be born again, John 3:3. Do this and one is born again. Jesus answers the one that prays along these lines, and comes into them bringing eternal life. Then they are not to go by feelings, but faith in God's Word and declaration that people are saved this way. Then walk in obedience, not to be saved or stay saved, but to please and serve God, and to be a good testimony and representative of Him. Father I pray this one will understand all this and live accordingly, to Your glory. Amen.

It's so easy to try to match up authentic Christian belief with "feelings" or some kind of results based contract. Jesus tells us that the rain falls on the good and bad alike. We are also told that His salvation is for those who follow His commandments, (love God with everything you've got, and love your neighbor as yourself), and pick up their cross and follow Him daily, which means to accept our sufferings and soldier on with "doing" love of others. Several saints, including most recently, St. Theresa of Calcutta, have felt abandoned and forsaken by God. Sometimes for years. It is natural in the living out of an authentically Christian life to feel abandoned at times, (God, why have you forsaken me?). It's important that even in periods of dryness and trial, that we keep living out the Christian thing. If we do this......God will comfort us, and give us the grace we need to get by. Without God, we would fall into despair, depression, addiction and die in our sins without hope. But for those who follow Him, He says "come to me who are weary and I will give you rest. Follow me for my yoke is easy and my burden light." At no point does He tell us His yoke and burden are not-existent, or without suffering. There is just a difference in suffering with Christian Hope, and suffering with worldly despair.

I struggle with the same thing. But you know, God isn't like that. So long as you're doing your best, no matter how little that best is, he appreciates it. And yeah, it's a fight. Satan and his jerks like to mess with people when they do the right thing. But the fact that you care enough to say you're worried you're not a good enough Christian shows that you're probably doing a better job at it than a lot of 'blessed' people in church. (Don't get a big head now.;)) Besides, who's to say those 'blessed' people aren't just being lulled into a state of useless complacency by Satan, who gives them nice stuff so they will forget God, or pervert his name by being a bad example of God's name? There are two sides in this war, and just because you're under fire doesn't mean it's God firing the shots.

Believing is only part of it. We also need to be obedient.

Could re-framing thinking be in order? I think being a Christian should not be so much about what you get from God, but what you give to God. Heart...mind...obedience...service...loving your neighbor...worship & adoration.

Prosperity preachers and our entitled, "gimme" society make us think life should be better for us if we're "true" Christians. I think that is not how it works.

Sometimes feelings can weigh us down like that. Maybe God wants you to focus more, on stuff that has to do with your salvation.

None of us is a strong enough believer. We have our moments and then we have our valleys, where we need others to help us stand.
Joel 3:10
...Let the weak say I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:9
And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

1 Corinthians 1:25
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart may fail,
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
