Hello everyone
This is something I am so embarrassed to say and I feel so bad to say it because people are actually going through serious problems in life. I have no confidence and I beat myself up over everything about how I look I always feel terrible about myself. But this is so petty so I hate that it’s even a problem because I always think everyone is beautiful. And it only matters if your beautiful on the inside. I am 18 years old and I’ve struggled for a while now about 5 years ago around the time my grandpa died. I struggle with depression from loosing my loved ones as well, I usually just want to cry at night. Please pray for me family I feel broken thank you so much praying for you all❤️

It sounds like you have lost your supporters at a critical time in your life, and haven't yet been able to build back that support mechanism that once surrounded you; they valued you for who you were, and they loved you.

As odd as this might sound, those people showed you by their love what a beautiful person you really are.
Don't be afraid to look back in time and remember their comments and how they loved you. Love is something that can transcend time if you are brave enough to look for it, and to remember how it felt.

Those people left you a legacy of love that is yours to grab hold of, and to use in order to help you go forward into your future.

Your feelings are somewhat normal as far losing relatives, going through you teenage years, especially ones that are close to you.

Yes, I'll pray for you. If you are going to college or still in high school, you should see if they have free counseling services available. In the states we have that, and I'm sure France has it too since Europeans have more socialized medicine and services than we do here.

There is also lots of free self help stuff on the internet and You-tube. I especially have been watching a lot of the videos on Stoicism, when it comes to my own life issues.

So sorry you are going through a difficult time. It sounds like you are struggling with two things, your image and the emptiness you feel by the loss of family.

Hi Natalie. It's good that you have expressed all this. What you are going through is as important as what anybody is going through. The world we live in is difficult. So many things come at us to knock our confidence. To upset us and hurt us. None of it is petty, what you are feeling. But the
Lord is our righteousness indeed, in Christ we are transformed. Beauty on the inside,
only in Christ. But it is so hard losing loved ones. I feel all we can do is cry out to the Lord. He is our comfort. The Lord Jesus is our only comfort. In God, we have
communion - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
John 14:16‭-‬18‭, ‬23 ESV

I think what you were affected by is quite common. Losing someone special like your grandpa and loved ones can be so heart breaking.

Heavenly Father, I pray that You will heal the hurts of Natalie's past and the losses she suffered, it broke the happy world that surrounded her. Heal her self confidence in herself and show her that the love she felt before can be again, and that she is special, show her that when You created her, You made her beautiful and loving and needed. Shine a new light into her life. Restore to her the joy the bible speaks of, and help her to draw close to You, that she may rejoice in all You do for her, In Jesus Name, Amen

Hi Natalie, I'm so sorry for the loss of your Grandfather. It sounds like he had a very important place in your life. Did he make you feel special?
You might just be missing that one person who made you feel extra special. It must have been very difficult to lose a love like that just when you were in middle school, the hardest time in a young person's life. Did something happen to make you lose confidence in your looks? Or in life?
Do you want to know the truth? Beauty isn't all it's cracked up to be. I have compared my looks to others and wished I was prettier than I was. I guess I thought that if I was as pretty as someone else, I would be happier; but the truth is that the "pretty" girls weren't any happier in life than I was! They had their own issues. Some have health issues, some have relationship issues, whatever.
Being exceptionally pretty isn't the key to happiness.
Another fact is that the girls that you think are really pretty often don't think they're pretty enough. They think someone ELSE is pretty. Or because they get alot of attention for their looks, they feel like that's all they're good for, or they feel pressured to ALWAYS look great no matter how they feel.
Everyone feels insecure when they compare themselves with others or with what others have been given.
The key to happiness is thankfulness. Thank God for all that you have, including your looks, and you will be happy deep down. God bless you dear girl.

This touches my heart so deeply thank you for taking the time to write to me❤️thank you so much yes he was very special to me, he did but my whole family makes me feel special . We are a very small family and we are all very very close. My grandparents lived with us so they were like my second parents. I still have my grandma thank God and her and I spend a lot of time together. I feel like my world shattered because he got sick in 2014, he got cancer and I saw him the whole time and was at the hospital everyday and then A yeAr later he went to urgent care because he was nauseous and thought he had the flu, and the doctor carelessly gave him the wrong medicine and it made my grandpa have a reaction and he died on the spot and I was downstaires waiting with my daddy meanwhile my grandma and mom were in the room with him I had no idea what was going on. After a successful surgery a year prior he died because of medical malpractice . Then a week later my dog I had since I was a puppy started having severe seizures and seeing her like that was horrible she ended up passing away 2 months after. Then a year later my uncle died. I’m very scarred by death.

I dont think anything caused it, all my family is very supportive and often tell me that I am pretty , I just never think so. And I totally agree with everything u say, that’s why feeling like this bothers me so much. Thank you for sharing your own experience . I always say it only matters if your pretty on the inside, I know it’s just the devil trying to beat me up more. Thank you so much God bless you ❤️❤️
