That is a fair portion of the message I like to carry. I've seen so many used up and broken people, light up and have life breathed back into them when they realize the truth of it. The stuff that broke them before can be used to bring others to redemption, what once was meaningless suffering can be transformed into an instrument of inspiration. It is like when Jesus healed a certain man, He told the man to pick up his mat and go . . . if the man had left his mat no one would know he was once lame, by carrying the mat he declares to the world that he once was lame & that gives the opportunity to speak to others about the healing and the Lord who provides it. Scars on the inside or scars on the outside, when we carry our (figurative) mats, we are more able to speak of God's grace . . . it isn't theory and it isn't metaphor, God really does transform lives, there is redemption, Glory be to God.God doesn't waste anything.
