The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm so sorry to here this. I lost 3 online friends last year, and it hurt too. I know it's hard not to have many friends, I was there as a teen. Praying you will know Jesus's love and comfort at this time. Praying for you.

Friends come and go, but the Lord is always there. I understand loneliness, i don't have any friends either, but i think in your case that you will find new friends, or maybe the old ones will come back. Either way, i would encourage you to think positive.

everyone needs a friend, but sometimes they can become a distraction...I guess that's y at some point in our life we have to lose them, coz we fail to put God in the center of such friendship...

There is nothing worse than loneliness or no friends, I know, I speak from vast experience, I really have none here in New Zealand, none that I feel close to at any rate.
I was planning on not being on my computer much, I thought it would help my health, I get headaches and bad back pains sometimes, but, I realized that not being on it, I will be even more lonesome, LOL, can't win. So, I am back. Also, I "internet" a lot on my phone, well, the service is so high, 160.00 a month, so, I am going to have to cancel that, that will maybe cut my internet time short, unless I just keep my laptop out and use it more, I like my tower, but, it is in Steve's office, and I do not like being in there.
All that being said. CN. You do have friends here, and of course, the best friend ever, Jesus. I know, there is nothing like face-to-face friends, I miss that too, but, well, this comes pretty durn close. LOL
You can always consider me a friend.

Maybe you can meet people at Youth Group or a Sunday service? Or school. Join some clubs, or sit with someone who always sits alone at lunch. Take electives that are in your interest range.

I'm homeschooled, and I attend a bible study with other kids once a week, but other than that we don't talk much.
