Maybe I'll change it. What about a blind person throwing darts? I might not even hit the board but I can't tell I could nail a bulls-eye or the dart could barely pass my feet. The point is that it's not easy, near impossible.

In a sense we were all blind and it's surely impossible to hit the bulls eye so Jesus took the shot for you he not only threw the dart by choice but also he was the bull eye and because of Jesus you won. Jesus nailed himself to the cross for the sin of the World to destroy the works of satan now offering salvation to all men.
Understanding sinning doesn't make us a sinner BUT possessing the sin nature is what does. So now we have become born again Jesus took out the old nature and gave us His nature so we are new creations the old has gone and the New is here so all we need to do everyday for the rest of our lives on this side of heaven is to renew or minds daily fixing our thoughts on good things.

So I say live by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature
For the sinfull nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other so that you do not do what you want

Either literally blasphemy of the HS or coming to faith and returning to the world or abandoning the faith.
Let’s look at what the Bible teaches about blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

Jesus talks about blaspheming the Holy Spirit in Matthew 12:22-32 when he healed a demon-oppressed man and the religious leaders accused him of doing it by demonic powers. But Jesus said it is ridiculous that demons would cast out demons. Rather, Jesus cast out demons by the power of the Holy Spirit, and to attribute the Spirit’s work to Satan was an act of blasphemy, that is, it was an irreverent and slanderous accusation against the Holy Spirit.

Jesus was quick to forgive blasphemy against himself, but he would not tolerate people blaspheming the Spirit, which was working in and through him! How does this apply to us today? If we refuse to accept the work that Christ did for us by the power of the Holy Spirit, we blaspheme him. When people reject his work of salvation, they blaspheme the Holy Spirit, and his work is not applied to their lives.

May I ask, have you attributed the work of the Holy Spirit in your life to Satan (or vice versa)? Or, do you say of the Holy Spirit’s work that it is not sufficient for your salvation? How would you say that you have committed this unpardonable sin? The fact that you are concerned implies that this is probably something you haven’t done. Perhaps this is an attack from the evil one (who is called the accuser) or maybe there is something else going on (such as inability to overcome some other sin).

You also mentioned abandoning the faith (apostasy). I can address that as well, but wanted to begin with blasphemy in order to not create too long of a response.

I'm not saying we save ourselves but it seems hard to get saved and hard to know you're saved.

How is it hard to get saved?
Repent, believe the Son of God died for your sins and ask him to be your Lord and Saviour.
Believe it is done and you are saved

Thoughts that I'm afraid I'll be held to answer for.

I appreciate trying to keep it short, but if it needs to be long say what you need

Well it's simple the bible says if you believe in your heart that the father raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord you shall be saved! That's all it takes that's the conversion part than there's the baptism of the Holy Spirit and than the gift of speaking in toungues. There is three parts to experience as you will learn and grow in your relationship with Jesus the bible says faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of God, ok so you hear about Jesus he died on the cross for your sins you acknowledge you've fallen short of Gods standards so admitting your a sinner needing a savour so now you've heard all this plus more if that's the case God gifts to you faith for you to access his grace to be saved, ok so the conversion comes first. Read your bible get into a good teaching bible church and watch how God will work in and around your life. Read your bible Renew your thoughts, brain mind and see faith operate in your life. It's that simple. Read read and read so more bible.

Maybe it seems that way because of the deceiver who works to separate us from walking with God. But as Jesus answered the devil with Scripture, so must we!

As he was beginning to close his gospel account, John wrote, "But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." (John 20:31). And Paul writes, "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17). In other words, if you want to know how to get saved, look to the Word of God!

The good news is that it is not hard. In fact, Jesus has already done all of the work and all you have to do is take him at his word. He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. What does it mean to believe in him? It means that you are staking it all on him; all your eggs are in one basket. Jesus calls out to your heart, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. [You can not come] to the Father except through me." (John 14:6). Everything you do from this point is in response of his work of salvation in your life!

And how do we know we are saved? Well, the Bible answers that for us as well. ..

"And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments." (1 John 2:3). What are his commandments? They boil down to these two things: love God and love others. (Matthew 22:37-39). [note that we are not saved because we keep his commandments, but rather that we keep his commandments because we are saved]

"We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers." (1 John 3:14). Again, the evidence has to do with the great commandment, specifically here it is a reference to other believers.

"I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life." (1 John 5:13). You can certainly know that you have eternal life by believing in the name of Jesus!

Take notice of the word "know" in these passages. Did you know that the Apostle John uses this word 21 times in First John? If you want assurance, you ought to do a study of this epistle!

It's not hard: Christ did it for you on the cross. All you have to do is trust his work.
You can have assurance! God does not want his children living in fear or anxiety. You can know without a shadow of doubt you are saved if you believe his word!

How do you know it's not possible now, only then and mid-tribulation? I don't think I've heard anyone say mid-tribulation before.

Well, love, sometimes the Holy Spirit tells us things. Often times He will share something like this to aid us in helping others

A hypocrite is an actor or actress. Such a one reads fiction from a script; all drama and not enough truth.

Not everyone who says Jesus is Lord will be saved. You may have heard the saying, "Actions speak louder than words." It is in understanding the Gospel and obeying Jesus that helps people find communication with the Holy Spirit. One person in Egypt might be going through extreme tribulation and persecution from Muslim neighbors, while one in a gated community in the United States may not fear crime as the crime rate is low with no violent crimes reported in years.

Sometimes the young lack experience and are uncertain of what direction to go. I think job experience, talent and strength are more important than what exit leads to a better place. When one goes to school, one may keep in mind the things that might be useful in preparing oneself for employment.

There are some places that have lower crime rates than others. There are some places that have more job openings than others. Too wander aimlessly long is not good. Some people find a calling from God early, some never do.

Not all of the Bible is of equal utility. Some of the verses may lead you closer to salvation others may bring confusion.

When I was 22 I was traveling in search of utopia. I did not know whether north or south would lead to a better place. Now I am 57. I found I may do better by improving myself through continued work and study than by changing my location. If learn of a better place, I might move again. I conserve energy remaining where I am.

I'm not trying to use condemnation as an excuse.
good

I can be overly critical and in a hurry to figure them out so I can show how great an adviser I am. So, in case I have done this, please forgive me. God is the One who can do what is best with you And thank you for sharing what is so personal.

I might have committed suicide by now if I was because what's the point in living longer for things to just get worse and worse? I'm not always 100% brave, I get scared and useless (for lack of a better word) but I'm still here trying.
Yes, do not quit. I have been suicidal, at times, but God has had mercy on me and His love has helped to cure me so suicidal things can't get the better of me.

God bless you

In your own particular case, it may be more apparent, but for everybody, we are not in complete mastery of our own thoughts. Much of what is happening in our heads happens at a pre-conscious level, and we only explain why we did something after the fact without really knowing that the things that we do and think and say happen before we decide upon them.
This is just how the human brain operates. For those of us especially with poor impulse control, it is really becomes necessary to feed the brain wholesome 'foods' then. The axiom of garbage in, garbage out applies here too. You are what you eat, or in this case, what you input into your own head, like the books you read, or the sites you visit on the internet, or the people and the places you spend time with and at.

Don't think of it as a handicap but as an opportunity. The fact that we are not in complete control of ourselves does not mean we are at the mercy of demons taking over. "Prepare ye the way of the Lord" says John, and what we can consciously and deliberately do is prepare a place in our hearts and in our minds where the Holy Spirit of Christ can abide, and be the spirit that is driving our impulses. This is the theatre from which the Holy Spirit may enter into our hearts.

Right now the narrative replaying in your head is ..i dread insulting god.... #*$%god ...oh no i insulted god...am i going to hell?!!..... It is a feed back loop over and over again, from what I am understanding.

This of course is not preparing a proper place in your mind for the Holy Spirit to take control of the parts of the mind we do not control. However, you also are perfectly capable of structured prayer, and structured thoughts, prepared in advance that you can consciously utter throughout the day for as many times as the feed back loop described above pops up into your head.
In other words, give that part of your life of which you cannot control to God. Let that be his responsibility. You can only be responsible for is putting in the effort to feed your head and your heart and your life with the things that will make God feel right at home in the drivers seat of your life.

Say a little prayer, smile at a stranger, pet a dog, go play with a kid....these are the kinds of things that you can do to feed your head and your life with the kind of thoughts and activities that over time will mean what is popping out of your head is not just garbage and gobbledygoo, but the providential will of the Spirit Himself.

The very fact that you are so afraid that you have committed this 'unpardonable' sin tells me that you have not. You are worried about it, and you care; you feel guilty, which means you are convicted. You are struggling with these thoughts and feelings, and God knows your heart. If you had committed such a sin, your heart would have already been hardened, or it would have been hardened after. But the Spirit is with you. It has led me and others here to tell you this, and to tell you not to give up. Keep fighting against these unclean spirits that belie the truth.

This is one of the deceiver's greatest tricks, to make a believer think he has fallen, that he has no place doing or teaching God's word. In this way, he is made useless. But trust in God and in the Spirit, and think on and reflect the light.

Perseverance is often what is required of one young in the faith, through trials such as these. They are like the smith's hammer and the fires of the forge, forming you into a more useful shape and tempering you into a stronger metal. Stay steadfast and be grateful for God knows that you can make it through this.

James 1:2-4
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

If you question weather or not you have committed the unforgivable sin and that fact that you do care says it's more likely you haven't and the reason your heart

And the fact you are worried tells me you have a love for Jesus!

Amen, and because you worry if you have or not says you love Jesus. On the other hand if you never cared weather if you have or not says good chance that you might have.

DeerGlow, I will try my best to address your concerns, with the Help and grace of the Lord. As you are finding out, our Christian life is a WAR. Each of us who come to faith in Christ are "born" into our own personal corner of the battlefield where we are soldiers in God's army and responsible for making war against the powers of darkness and the lies of the devil......to the glory of God. Followers of Christ are not condemned for having a thought that is displeasing to the Lord, but only if we keep on willfully entertain them instead of fighting them. The bible says we are to take captive every thought that exalts itself against the truth of God's word and bring it into obedience to Christ, the Word. Every time you have a thought that you know is sinful, repent of it immediately and ask for the Lord's help to take your thoughts captive. Believe what His word says that if we acknowledge and confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.......He truly will.

Since your thought-life is an area of particular difficulty for you, and also bubbles over into your speech at times, make it your goal to overcome your wrong thoughts and do not ever give up. Consider it your battlefield. Pray regularly and fervently for the Lord God to help you take your thoughts captive and deliver you from any demonic strongholds. If you have faith in Jesus Christ then it is no longer you who sin, but sin living in you....nevertheless your part and all our parts is to overcome the sin living in us. Because when we are saved, if we are sincere in wanting to follow Jesus, we also must begin working out our salvation. So do not to entertain or obey wrong and sinful thoughts, but fight the good fight of faith against them using your spiritual weapons of warfare......the sword of the Lord, His mighty word of truth.

Ask Him to lead you to scriptures that you particularly need or that He wants to speak to you each day. If you have trouble concentrating when reading the bible, try reading it out loud to yourself, and even while you are walking up and down the room if you need to. Read it prayerfully, in the Spirit...draw near to God and He will draw near to you by His Spirit. Listen to good old bible-based Christian hymns regularly and perhaps audio recordings of the bible. King James is the most accurate translation that we have, hence the most powerful in spirit. You have to fight the devil, really fight, with the help of God's Holy Spirit, as you prayerfully seek the Lord and His help, and do not give up.

Anything in your past that you know is sin that you haven't yet repented of, do so, and ask the Lord to forgive and cleanse you. If you have dabbled in Taoism or any other false or occultic beliefs or practices you need to confess it to the Lord and utterly and sincerely renounce and forsake these things, turn away from them in repentance...........AND GOD WILL FORGIVE YOU AND CLEANSE YOU. BELIEVE IT AND RECEIVE HIS FORGIVENESS. Because He cannot lie. And then as Jesus admonishes us, go and sin no more.

1 John 1:7-10 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

2 Co 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ
