What does everyone think of this??? I came across it in my Nursing 2005 magazine today (a professional journal), so did a search for an article online. It purportedly will be used to store medical data which can be easily scanned by medical workers. But, of course I'm sure that it could have other applications as well.

I think this opens the door for some surreal Orwellian abuses. It exploits our fears and desires for a completely 'safe' life, which could lead to the erosion of our freedoms. We've seen some of that mentality after the 9/11 tragedy.
