BG series is AWESOME many days wasted playing that hehe

old school but i love ultima underworld and Lands of Lore (im stuck on a part in lands of lore if anyones finished it, i need help hehe)

Final Fantasy 3 (U.S.) is my favorite RPG of all time. I don't think I could count how many hours I spent in that game. I have yet to play an RPG that has such a deep storyline.

A close second would have to be Chrono Trigger. Many hours in that game too! Good stuff.

i would have to agree with you. and i think the old rpgs are the best. the newer ff games aren't as good, because they spend way too much on animation. but those two are great.

The Baldur's Gate series is probably my favorite RPG with the Fallout series coming in close second. Other's I've enjoyed somewhat recently.....

Neverwinter Nights.
Icewind Dale series.
Planescape Torment.
Morrowind + Expansions.
Diablo 2
Wizardry 8

And I'll throw Final Fantasy 6 and 7 in for favorite consol RPG's.

Suikodden 2 is very good for a PS1 game!! Playing Suikodden 3... was very hard to like it because I loved no. 2... wasn't great in the start but beginning to like it!

I love all the Final Fantasy series...

Breath of Fire series is good too... except I'm playing Dragon's Quarter, and I'm not quite impressed.

hi blueiverson, unfortunatly there most likley wont be a Diablo 3

the team that was the diablo crew of Blizzard have left blizzard to create a new company, and they will be focusing on MMORPG (Massivly onling RPG) games! and others

so if blizzard decided to continue the license, it would lose the 'old school' flair that we had all fallen in love with

then again, we might get lucky!

what do you guys like about Baulder's Gate?... i was disappointed at the end... i mean it was good and all, but it finished too quickly for me. It's fun to play with other people though...

Rpg's huh? Well, I have played a ton of Rpg's and let me tell you guys one thing. Zelda is NOT a rpg. It is an awesome game, but it is not an rpg. It is an action game. In order for a game to be considered an rpg, it has to have some kind of leveling up system. The only reason Nintendo considers Zelda an rpg, is that they have no other rpgs than Pokemon. Anyway, as for my fav rpgs they are:
Breath of Fire 1-3
Final Fantasy series (Final Fantasy 4 is my fav)
Lunar series
Arc the Lad series
Chrono series
Xenogears
and yes Pokemon.
Breath of Fire is an awesome rpg. The main character can turn into a dragon and its alot harder than Final Fantasy. Not only that, but the series has alot of non-human characters, and being a tigerman, I am drawn to those characters.

Tiga Ronso - I don't know about Breath of Fire - Dragon's Quarter... i hate it how it has that limit of 100% to use the dragon ability. I guess that's where the challenge is. Otherwise I guess it is a pretty good RPG.

Well, I was kinda turned off Breath of Fire after number 4. It stunk big time. The first 3 however, were excellent. Definitely recommend them. 1 and 2 are found on Super Nintendo and Game Boy Advance and 3 is on Playstation.

Final fantasy. All of them except 10. Still haven't finished

Morrowind is also cool but it's too kinda bland in a sense. No variation to fighitng or theiving. Just the same, hide, shoot and poke regardless of your skill levels. I like variations like diablo's skills.

Neverwinter nights is also cool. That's what i mean by not bland .
