Baldur`s Gate 2(don`t like ToB that much) is my favorite(can`t wait to get the game again so I can replay it,that game is soooo good, the role play, characters, humor("Minsc will lead with sword and boot.Boo(talking about his so called miniature giant space hamster for those who don`t know him)will take care of the details.);EVERYTHING,and it`s also 2AD&D rules(as opposed to 3D&D or 3.5D&D rules that I just hate))

But Planescape Torment is VERY near, the character(s) were original, unique and excellent, the only thing is that fights were very boring...but still a quest of an immortal to find and kill his immortality...

I enjoy the Final Fantasy series especially VII and the one with Celes and Locke and the rest of the gang (was that III in America?). Tactics was great fun too. Besides I love games where I can rename my characters.

On the American side, I liked Betrayal at Krondor (old game) and the all-too-short sequel Return to Krondor.

Some of the other ones you guys mentioned were really good too, but a few are so really dark in nature that I wasn't sure if I should keep playing them... also some games are bordering on attacking religion (Xenogears, FFT, Grandia III, even FF X).

I've just decided to be careful about this, and make sure I know a lot about a game before I buy it.

Baldur's Gate were cool, yes. :D Neverwinter Nights is cool too.

Baldur's Gate 1 holds very fond memories, the first time I played that game from the library. Beat it twicne in about two weeks. Then I was eagerly, eaglerly, eagerly anticipating BG2, hehe.

ToB is cool 'cause it lets you get to level 40
