For the past 6 years or so, my top 3 favorite bands have been U2, Metallica, and Rush. U2, however, has been the band that I've loved ever since I heard "Pride (In the Name of Love)" on the radio back in 1985.

My musical tastes are all over the place though...I like everything from classical, to some jazz to artists like Enya and Sarah McLachlan and some trance, like DJ Tiesto. As far as genres I don't really care for country and rap would be at the top of the list.

I love Kings of Leon, New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Dashboard Confessional, Spill Canvas, Blue October, Better Than Ezra, Sister Hazel, and many many many more. These are the ones that have been stuck in rotation on the playlist lately, though.

I've been listening to a lot of Ensiferum lately. I'm not big on death metal, but I like the pagan melodies they put into their music. So awesome.

Death Cab for Cutie. I underrated them and I regret it. But now I totally love their music, the lyrics, and Ben Gibbard's voice!

Paramore. Used to be the band at the top of my list for about a month. Love love their music and Hayley's voice and other members. But the lyrics are pretty simple compared to Death Cab..

Bread. Very easy to listen to and unsophisticated lyrics, except for "If".

The Academy Is... I haven't really focused deeper on their song lyrics but I must say, their music is catchy and quite original from others.

There are still others haha, but I must stop here.

In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, At The Gates, and Iron Maiden for me. I love melodies in their songs (hence why they are known as the pioneers of melodic death metal). Also, Iron Maiden is just awesome to listen to. Their guitar solos are amazing.
