My favorite band....no contest......is U2. They have been my favorite band since 1993. These guys have put out some awesome music, they are one of the greatest live bands ever, their sound keeps changing, yet it remains uniquely U2. Bono's songwriting is excellent, and The Edge is a very unique guitarist, with his own sound, minimal yet very skilled.

I have so many different favorites, and they don't all stay favorites continuously, but some bands I really couldn't do without are The Beatles, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Eels, the Stranglers, Radiohead, The Killers, Metallica and Queens of the Stone Age.

Totally agree. Just look at their discography. It's incredible. I own every CD (including 1980 and 90's Greatest Hits with the B-sides) with the exception of October, Boy, and Achtung Baby. Since I own under a Blood Red Sky, it has every track from Boy that I like. October is a good CD that I'm still looking for to buy used. Achtung Baby doesn't really do that much for me from what I've heard.

I've always loved power metal that isn't cheesy(Outworld, Iced Earth, Demons and Wizards AND SINTIENT 6 BY NEVERMORE)

Latly Ive found: Vanguard, Vaakevandring, Extol, Premordial, Agaloch(sp?), BecomingTA, Blinded Colony, Haste the Day(old ), Enslaved, Opeth.................all metal...but I love other types, just not into them as much currently (Rise Against, RageATM, BulletFMV, KSE, Chevelle, Slipknot, Blake Lewis, Eminem, Big & Rich, Red, Sigor Ros, 30STM, Chasing Victory, Iron Maiden, Young Jeezy(lol)

Sir Elton John is my favorite musician of all time-especially when he writes with Bernie Taupin. I consider Elton the true King of Rock n' Roll (Elvis Presley eat your heart out!) Coldplay is definately one of my favorite's right now-their new album ROCKS!!!!!!!!
