It's a way for American football fans to get into the game - you create a fantasy team and draft players from the NFL to play for you. There's usually 8 or 9 starters and some alternates to use when your starters aren't playing during a specific week. You get points from touchdowns, field goals, yard bonuses, sacks, interceptions, etc. It's really fun - I've been playing since 1998.

there are free games out there on the web, and there are many pay games. I would suggest a free one to get started (especially if you don't know who's hot/not in the NFL). Check their rules and draft date, create a team, and go. You will have to check back at least once a week to make sure your players in the starting line-up are playing that week or injured or something. The best part of online fantasy sports is that the computer calculates the scores for you, when we first started we did it by hand . I hope some of this helps.
