• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm so sorry t hear about that Kathleen.

I have been falsly accused of things as well, at the minuit, I am going through a court case where my Probation officer is trying to get me jailed for breaching it, when I didn't. He was so bad at his job, he never turned up where he told me to meet him, he never turned up at all when you ask him about it he 'forgot' and basically nevr tried to contact me at all. Many appointments he missed. He was also quite creepy. Made me feel uncomforyable. Always looking at certain places he shouldn't have been.

Now, eventually me trying to contact him couldn't get him because he was either out or sick or some excuse, left messeges that he either never got or ignored. So I gave up, he also lied about getting a different officer. That never did happen, so i broke all contact, if he wasn't going to try, why should I? I'm not going to go to Jail for his mistakes.

Only now, since he hasn't contacted me in months I assumed my probation must have been served, but alas to my dismay last week I had a warrant for my arrest which, would you believe was full of crap saying i never ever turned up at the metings. That he had tried contacting me many a time and sent letters etc, what really shocked me was he filled information about me with lies. Claiming I was a hairdresser, I done this course that course and whatnot that I had a job in the city center.

I was unemployed when I was meeting with him.

So now I'm being breached for something I didn't do. I told my lawyers when he wasn't turning up about it, so now I'm having to find evidence against him to remove the warrant and claim compensation.

Shows how much our Brittish judicial system is mucked up, They hire just any old pratt.

I wish all the best for you and you are in my prayers. <3

KathleenRose,

Who was it that falsely imprisoned you? Was it the police? If it was the police and they put you in jail without a warrant or probable cause, then you have the right to sue the police department as that violates your Constitutional Rights and it's something that very few attorney's will turn down (if they are sane and competent) because for them that represents money.

False imprisonment by the police is a violation of your Constitutional Rights.

If it was someone other than the police that held you against your will, then unless they have proof that you were a danger to either yourself or others it's a felony.

Without knowing more about your case I can't tell you who to go talk to about the issue. Only you can determine that.

If it was the police that did that to you, then a good attorney is all that you'll need.

If it wasn't the police that did that to you, then you many need the assistance of an attorney, the police and the District Attorney's Office to help you get through it.
