So this is a false gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

Peter was talking about "the gift" they received earlier that day (the Day of Pentecost).
This "gift" obviously was that powerful experience they had, complete with tongues!
The references of "the promise" and "the gift" all refer to the baptism with the Holy Spirit
(with the confirming evidence of tongues).
Only the Apostles received the Baptism with tongues that day. All other believers received the gift of the Holy Spirit just as today. No mention of them speaking in tongues.

They are one and the same, silly. Who do you think creates the new nature?
Abel and Abraham were born again. But the Holy Spirit began indwelling believers at Pentecost.

Nothing is false about that 'good news'.

The twelve at Ephesus spoke in tongues. (Acts 19:6)

Just because someone is not under the law, because it had not been given doesn't make them born again.

If you are talking about the Day of Pentecost, there were more than the apostles there. There were 120.

Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. They were believers See Hebrews 11.

Only 12 during the outpouring. The 120 were another time and place.

The only reason you think sinlessness/perfect obedience to God is impossible is because you are still in the flesh.
But what does scripture say?..."And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. (Gal 5:24)
So how do we crucify the flesh?..."Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. (Rom 6:3-7)
Our spirit has been regenerated not the physical body we are in. All of your scriptures are Spiritual examples. We do not have our sinless bodies until we are resurrected into everlasting life. Sinless perfection while we are still in our flesh is just not possible.

That addressed the people who thought the law saved because for a long time it did. It's old news and no one thinks the law does save today. Yes some insist on creating confusion, and though they cannot prove anyone here says we are saved by the law, they love to claim needing to be obedient is indication we teach the law saves.

If anyone disagrees, please prove what I just said you could not prove.
No one thinks the laws saves today? Of course they do. Most all religions are built on this, being good enough, doing enough good works to merit some kind of paradise. And lots of Christians are guilty of it. Although scripture tells us we are saved by grace through faith, so that we have nothing worth boasting about, man's default desire is to win his way into glory. Yes, it's a different law than the Mosaic law. It might include wearing certain clothes, refraining from certain style of music, refraining from movies, T.V., dancing or bacon, but it's still a bunch of rules that people genuinely believe retain their salvation for them. Never mind that scripture tells us it's all by Christ's righteousness, not our own. It's a prison people insist on building for themselves, even though one can never know if they've done enough good works to make up for their sins. Let's get real. No amount of doing good or keeping laws can merit heaven. It's all about dependence on Christ, otherwise you are just trying to offer your righteousness to God and it's like handing him used tampons, and expecting eternal life in return, according to the Word.

A born again heart doesn't need repentance, they've already done that while in the flesh. It is while in the flesh that you realize that it is a struggle to be righteous in your own strength. That is the person in Romans 7 BEFORE being born again of the Spirit. And Peter says to repent, and then you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. What you are saying is the Spirit makes you repent. No the Spirit keeps you from having to repent any longer, as you walk in the Spirit.
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is guide us so as to avoid sin, and thus the need to repent.

But also, to guide us to repent when needful ...
