You haven't improved much since then either. You keep outlining a highway to hell, and worse of all, you bastardize scripture over and over to do it.

You don't actually teach this to others outside of this forum do you?
There are "fire and brimstone" preachers. These people are necessary to keep us in check.

Repentance is a desire planted in the born again heart. It's not a legalistic forcing of the unsaved flesh to become saved.

A born again heart doesn't need repentance, they've already done that while in the flesh. It is while in the flesh that you realize that it is a struggle to be righteous in your own strength. That is the person in Romans 7 BEFORE being born again of the Spirit. And Peter says to repent, and then you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. What you are saying is the Spirit makes you repent. No the Spirit keeps you from having to repent any longer, as you walk in the Spirit.

Why is overcoming your sin a false gospel?

There's nothing wrong with overcoming sin, but it is not the gospel.

This is the gospel:
1Corinthians 15:1-5: Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

None of it is anything he teaches in his false gospel threads. Abstaining from sin is a good thing, but it will not save anyone initially, or maintain their salvation over time. His teaching adds to the gospel, making it false.

I have no issues with preachers who warn against rejecting the grace and forgiveness in Christ. But this guy reminds me of a guy on YouTube, Jerry Toney. He's come on there and will say silly stuff like if you have an alcoholic beverage or a cigarette, you are a sinner headed for hell. But at least that one admits he's a works preacher.

They both use the exact same arguments. The takeaway is that they are keeping the level of obedience required, but anyone below their level is not. And it would be humorous to consider these people think they maintain themselves at the Lord's level of perfection, if it didn't carry such tragic consequences for them.

If I may interject, I am still in the flesh. :) I have been regenerated and continually sanctified by the Holy Spirit as long as I walk with Him and not quench Him. Repentance is part of the process. Though sinlessness is not possible, I do see sins falling away because I have turned away from them through the act of repentance by the power of the Holy Spirit. Can't imagine not needing repentance, what does one do when they sin? Keep doing it?
Thanks for engaging!

Sinless perfection is also a "false gospel".

You are confusing the New Birth most had on the day of Pentecost (Born Again Jews) with the "Gift of the Holy Spirit" all believers now receive according to Peter and Joel 2:29-29.

False gospels do not require you to overcome sin, but they sure are popular!

Will a full page of 10 proof verses be enough, or do you require 5 pages of 50 verses?

“If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed,
rather than having two hands, to go to
hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched” (Mark 9:43)
Do you think Jesus is deadly serious about getting rid of sin?

“… you are that one’s slaves whom you obey,
whether (slaves) of sin leading to (eternal) death,
or (slaves) of obedience leading to righteousness …
For when you were slaves of sin … the end of those things is (eternal) death.
… For the wages of sin is (eternal) death …” (Romans 6:16-23)

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things
of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (Romans 8:5-6)

“For if you live by its dictates, you will die (spiritually). But if through the power of the Spirit
you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live (eternally).
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.” (Romans 8:13-14)

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,
nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners
will inherit the kingdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfish
ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;
of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those
who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21)

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
For he who sows to his flesh (sins) will of the flesh reap corruption,
but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” (Galatians 6:7-8)

“But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you,
as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting …
For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater,
has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words,
for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.” (Ephesians 5:3-6)

“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved,
he will receive the crown of (eternal) life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him
… But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.
Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown,
brings forth (eternal) death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.” (James 1:12-16)

“God’s will is for you to be holy … live in holiness and honor …
God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives.
So, anyone who refuses to live by these rules is rejecting God.” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8)
BC- Are you promoting "sinless perfection"? Respectfully, this is also a false gospel, is it not?

My cousin got deceived by the fake gospel
regarding his sin
I tried to redirect him to no avail
he was recently sent to prison.

Probably not an easy destination
for a 64 year old man
but, sin can take one there
very fast at times.

Don't play with sin
don't let it in
if sin has been sent
time to Repent.

1. "sinlessness is not possible." Why isn't it possible when that is what Jesus came to achieve in us?

1 John 3:5
5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

2. "I have turned away from them (sins) through the act of repentance by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The power of the Holy Spirit keeps us from sinning, not to repentance when we sin. The power of sin has already been taken from us when born again with a new nature.

I have been regenerated and continually sanctified by the Holy Spirit as long as I walk with Him and not quench Him.

This I do agree with, except what you call sanctification, I call glorification.

The term sanctification brings with it the idea of continuing to overcome sin through repentance. That has already been done, if you do not quench the Spirit. It is possible that baby Christians may grieve the Spirit more than mature Christians, but I've seen newly born again Christian's lives change overnight by the power of the Holy Spirit, and the desire to sin is gone.

No, it isn't. That is the result of the power of the Holy Spirit in us.

The false gospel denies this power, and says we will always sin.

They are one and the same, silly. Who do you think creates the new nature?
