JimfromOhio said:There is a positive side of False teachings when Paul said in these verses: Philippians 1:17-18 (New International Version) The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.
Is teaching a false Christ teaching Christ? Surely many give sound doctrines from an unsound heart, surely many say "Christ is Lord" for their own gain...
But those who preach Christ as say... not being the Lord, then are those false teachers really preaching Christ?
I have difficulty believing that scripture as speaking of false doctrines... perhaps I am mistaken.
One more note about these pictures of false preachers. It seems typical of mankind to judge based on outward appearances. Fortunately God doesn't judge us this way, but judges our hearts.
I don't know why exactly those people are deemed as false preachers, but if it has to do with what they look like, or the fact that they wear a rollex......
What is wrong with having a rollex again? Do the profits of that company fund Satan or something???? I should send that fellow $100 and tell him to buy himself a nice lunch and to not worry about people judging him and saying he doesn't deserve money just because he preaches.
It would suck to be a wealthy preacher... all the ignorant peasants, who never give anything to charity themselves, maybe their 10%.. judging someone who obviously gives a lot. Then again, perhaps he is a crooked theif.. but I don't know that I should judge, especially based on outward appearances.
If anyone can prove any of those 3 false preachers, by all means, do it!
