I thought I would share this Fall Reading List for Lutherans. I have Spirituality of the Cross, but I don't recall if I ever finished it. Any favorites from the list?
The Spirituality of the Cross is the most readable book on basic Lutheranism that I have come across. It is neither dumbed down nor too technical for the average American interested in learning about Confessional Lutheranism.
I am underwhelmed by books written by Alister McGrath (an Anglican), he is at his best when he writes articles for periodicals. How is Dietrich Bonhoeffer not recommended on that list? Pencil in The Cost of Discipleship.
