FAB 40's, please guide me!

Hello Fab and 40's out there!

I have a request. I am 40 (duh), new to this site, and a stay-at-home mom. (Who came up with that phrase, anyway? I'm seldom home.) Though I can stumble around on my computer and the web, I feel less tech-savy every day as so much progresses so fast.

So, I look at how BLAH and DRAB my entries are on here, and I can see some of you FAB 40's are way ahead of the game, mind giving me some pointers?

Whoo-hoo, I'm off to play around with some more of this site, it is so my thing!

Sure ... there are lots of things you can do. If you click on "go advanced" under the text box where you enter your message, you'll see lots of options for formatting fonts and smilies and such.

You can go into "control panel" and look at all the options that you can set.

When you have the blessings to spend, you can also go under characters and get yourself a little cartoon you to play with. Likewise, under customizer you can change the look of your posts.

Hi I'm a newbie too!! I like your e -neighbourhood phrase(as I see others do to) I think we just have to try things out and all will become clear. St Paul said something about seeing things darkly but eventually all will become clear. Perhaps this forum will get clearer for us 40 newbies!! God bless you.

Hi ladies,

I've only been on here for about a week and I love it. It's just fun to get on here and know that when I write, someone will respond - whether it's for fun or something serious.
So I'm here right a long with you.
I was a stay at home mom (tee) off and on for years. I homeschooled my three kids for eight years (boy, am I glad that THAT part is over - sorry homeschool moms). My kids are now adults and I'm starting in on my OWN adventures!!

Hello Fab 40's!

Glad you stopped by to catch up on things. You're timing couldn't be better. I am celebrating the birth of my CF character today! I just want to thank everyone for the support and guidance! Be sure to drink and eat something yummy today (both spiritual food and the other stuff like coffee and chocolate) with "Faithmom" in mind.

I always say if you leave my home hungry, it's your own fault. Well that goes for here in the e-hood as well.

I work from home but rarely get free time because in my 40's I sprouted another child! I won't see the light of day until sometime around 2010.Welcome in.

Hi 40's!

It's been busy times here - overlapping houseguests, preppping for school year needs (we start in 2 weeks here), kids swimming lessons, keeping a garden alive in drought - and today I am doing a 17 person birthday party for one of my kids. I finished decorating the cake at midnight...it's time to go get the ice cream.

(HUFFHUFF...PUFFPUFF....SPUTTERSPUTTER...needing stamina here!) But I am smiling while I run, 'cuz it's all about the good stuff!

So, I just had to say "Hi!" while I am on the fly!
