CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

1 Timothy 5:23
23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
What's this? Paul tells Timothy to drink a little wine for his stomach and infirmities? Could that be due to it's medicinal value? Why didn't Paul tell him to go to the elders to get healed so he could get rid of the stomach problems and other infirmities? Better yet, why didn't Timothy "name and claim" his own healing?

In the year 97, the 80-year-old Timothy tried to halt a procession in honor of the goddess Diana by preaching the gospel. The angry pagans beat him, dragged him through the streets, and stoned him to death.
I would imagine had it not been for this Timothy would have lived a lot longer. So... Sorry... Not so unhealthy. And Paul did not tell him to see a physician either.

I must say though, that sometimes a doctor can help by giving you a diagnosis. And that diagnosis may be useful in going to God in prayer. There may be some easy fixes like in diet and exercise. There are times though, that we must do what the Lord and our bodies are telling us.
Welcome aboard True Disciple! I agree, that house cleaning can pave the way for healing, and in the name of Jesus. There are some posters here who think medical help is a cure-all, and sometimes that is not the case!
