  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

To gain muscle you should start lifting weights. You can get 10 lbs weights and start from there at home. Do 15 reps 3 sets. And eat more protein. You will see a huge difference in a month.

I had a good workout yesterday and today.
On monday we went out to eat and it took so long for my body to digest the food. I think my stomach is getting used to eating less more often in the day and better food choices then heavy meals. When I worked out yesterday I felt so much better. I guess next time we go out I have to watch what I order or at least eat half. I did eat half on monday but it was still too heavy. So, figuring out what to order that wont make me feel sick after eating. Actually, this time I pick the restaurant.

Thank you for the advice I think I will buy tomorrow some weight to do at home! I need to start from somewhere!

I went for a walk today, since it was not raining (unlike our storm of yesterday) and quite nice in the mid-70s. I have a lot more energy than I did in my first trimester, but I think I will definitely have to stick with walking instead of beginning a running program (like I had intended to do just before I became pregnant), since the 3rd trimester is supposed to zap some of my energy again.

I went to a new place to work out the last two days and it was amazing! I mean the equipment, and pool, and all the wonderful stuff at the gym. I did full body workout on Saturday with weights, and today I ran 2.5 miles completing my 100 miles. I have 100 more to go for my goal. I don't think I will make it but I am so proud of myself for running that much. Also I have to research and see how much I will pay for this place or if there are places around me that are just as wonderful to change gyms. I think my body and the intensity of other gyms are right for me now. I just need to know if I can afford it all.

Went for a walk today. It was my longest walk since getting pregnant, which felt so good (psychologically and physically). Now if it would just be moderately warm (low 80s and below) and not storm when I want to go for walks, that would help a lot.

It's one of my goals for this quarter to be more active. However, I dislike the gyms around my area, so I'm buying a weight machine besides the dumbbells I have at home. I also want to start running; so far I've been jogging, but just once a week, and that's not enough.

Pilates and free weights today.

I feel like a broken record in this thread, but there's only two kinds of exercise programs I can really do, considering the fact that I'm pregnant and gyms aren't an option. So, I'm basically going to keep posting about going for a walk or pilates/weights (which I do at home). But I do like this thread. It's like an exercise log for me, kind of encourages me to keep at it or accountability, and hopefully to encourage others to exercise.

My exercise philosophy can be summed up in two images:
