Exercise - what do you do for exercise - is it regular?
We are spiritual beings in a physical body. Having the energy to think is important and remaining physically capable is also pretty crucial.
So, unfortunately owing to my alternating day and night shift I have stopped my sprinting and no longer do any regular exercise as every part of the day or night now feels pretty much the same.
But I have lower back ache, so what sort of exercise should I be doing?
What sorts of exercise does everyone else take and what does it do for you?
my son used to be an excellent hula hooper. By watching him I finally got it, it's not a circular motion that is needed to keep it going but more of a side to side rhythm. I'm still not a pro at it, but I get the concept more since I watched him so much.
I used to hula hoop all the time as a kid. That's why I was so excited to hear it was a good way to burn calories. I just assumed I could do it. So I got all the info off the Net and made my own of various sizes. I was soooo excited...and well...nothing. I can do maybe 4 rotations if that. I was starting to get depressed, so I put it to the side until I can feel good about it again but I'll get there!
I used to love to walk. I would do the Jerry Lewis Walk-a-thons and walk 20 miles. Now my feet hurt after walking around at work for 4-5 hours so IDK if I can walk anymore and I never was into running. I don't think our bodies are built to pound our feet so much but that's just me.
I honestly do need to start doing some sort of exercise, though. I suppose walking would be a good start...Ideally: 2 miles on treadmill + 30 min aerobics with handweights or Yoga, 5 days per week.....
On bad days it gets cut in half.
On bad weeks the days get cut in half.
Sometimes I throw in Tai Chi or an abs workout as a bonus.
Sometimes I catch the flu and don't workout for two or three weeks.![]()
