Scorsese's Silence was amazing for me. It broke me, destroyed me, and then mended something back together in a wonderful way. One of the most powerful movies I have ever seen, and I saw it at the perfect time in my life. I own it, but I've only seen it once. Certainly a movie for very rare occasions.

1. Love Finds You in Sugarcreek:

You can rent this on either Itunes or YouTube:
Love Finds You in Sugarcreek on iTunes
Love Finds You in Sugarcreek on YouTube
(Note: I am not in agreement with the expression of one being rich in this film; Granted, money is not the focus of the movie, and I would like to think if there was a sequel to this film, it go in direction that was more in support of 1 Timothy 6:9-11).

#2. Mountain Top:

You can rent this either on Itunes or YouTube:
‎Mountain Top on iTunes
Mountain Top on YouTube
(Note: I am not in 100% certainty that believers today can have visions or dreams today; But besides that, it was a good Christian film).

3. The Case for Christ:

You can rent this through Amazon Video or Itunes or YouTube:
Amazon.com: Watch The Case for Christ | Prime Video
‎The Case for Christ on iTunes
The Case for Christ on YouTube
(See note below in post #4).

While I do not agree with Lee Strobel's teachings and his networth.
I do believe his story in coming to Christ is genuine and true.

It's a Catholic movie, so I am not sure it would be my cup of tea.

I didn't watch it like that, not as a movie aimed at any particular denomination. I took it as a personal story and struggle, about people who happened to be catholics, and in its core it's about raw faith when it's deprived of everything else around it, including religion. In fact if someone goes into that movie with any hopes that the film will be preaching at them, they're in for a surprise. Anyway, it's one of my favorite movies ever and certainly not everyone's cup of tea, even if we don't include denominational differences. I think it's a masterpiece.

Well, I only watch Christian movies with the kind of faith that I believe lines up with the Bible. Some Christian movies are not going to be perfect, but I am really in disagreement with Catholicism, so I could not bring myself to watch it (No matter how good the storyline is and or how good the production value was, etc.). For me: Truth comes first when I watch a Christian film or nature documentary today.

It is hard to decide sometimes what Christian films should be recommended. I like a lot of scenes in other Christian films, but the whole of the movie was not so good. For example: I like certain scenes in War Room, God's Not Dead 2, and God's Not Dead 3, but the whole of those films was not so good - IMO (in my opinion).

Yes, I've only seen it a few times as well. It is a powerful, but also unsettling, film. It's easily one of the best films to focus on faith. Shusaku Endo is one of the few Christian giants of the 20th century, because while it is dealing with 17th century Japan, the themes are as timeless as ever.

Yes, it is unsettling. It can actually be devastating. I saw it at a time when I had a great struggle of faith, and it helped my realize something about faith. That I can actually bypass my own weakness of faith and go straight to the source. The spark won't die, because I didn't put it there in the first place.

Here is the trailer:
(Please take note that the trailer is not that great,
but the movie is really good):

(Note: Bill Graham's ministries produced this film. One of his books is even promoted in the film. I do not agree with Billy Graham's ministries because he promotes OSAS (Which is a doctrine I am strongly against). That being said, it was a great Christian film and it can still be an effective witnessing tool to lead others to Christ; It had some decent performances, and it was entertaining.).

I watched the behind the scenes making for the Climb, and it was pretty interesting how they did some of the special effects involving the mountains.

I added another Christian movie to my list.

Really a cute and funny movie with a great Christian message. It would have made my “Honorable Mentions” list, but the male lead actor could have peformed a little better.

Don't know how many have a VR device but JesusVR is interesting. The best part is the VR aspect that adds a sense of "being there". The VR camera is often set in the middle of a scene so you can see a lot all around you. I thought the actor playing Jesus was pretty good too. The settings and clothing were another plus.

The downside is VR doesn't do the best with things at a distance. Because most scenes the camera isn't that close to people means they don't show up super clear. And it's only about 50-60 minutes. For 8 dollars and a "Jesus VR" experience I thought it was worth the novelty.

Virtual Reality is a little too much for me. I am old school, and such technology is kind of freaky for me. It seems to be the joining of man with machine too much. But each to their own (of course).

I am also not a fan of Bible films where Jesus is a white European (even if they have a dark tan). Jesus is a Jew and He should look like He is from the Middle East somewhat. The Christian movie called Risen (While not a perfect film) was a little better in regards to the casting for Jesus because He looked like He was more from the Middle Eastern region.

But thank you for the suggestion, anyways. I am looking forward to the Princess Cut sequels because they have my favorite Christian actor in them (Brett Varvel - The War Within, Play the Flute).

I saw Risen. It was pretty good. The outsider perspective of the Roman soldier gives it a somewhat unique quality. Your welcome.

Never watched Princess Cut but it must have been popular for them to film two back to back sequels like they appear to be doing.
