We have VERY different views of scripture! I thought the main big ideas in scripture were 'perspicuous' - that is - clear. The Westminster Confession of faith - and all that jazz. At least regarding the main ideas and doctrines. Like, for example, that the Lord returns like a thief on Judgement Day is fairly clear. At least in my circles.

I guess when you 'discover' something 'new' in scripture - is it any surprise you're forced into attacking how 'dumb' and 'stubborn' the rest of your brothers and sisters in Christ are when they don't see what you alone see?

Only on the horribly terribly unbelievably bad day of fire will the rest of us see!
Finally - there's something on which we agree!

This is a demonstration of how you and others mis-read scripture. You say the Lord will Return 'like a thief'. But 1 Thess 4:16 and Revelation 19:11-16; say Jesus will come in power and glory, at the time the Holy Land will be invaded by a huge army. Rev 19:19
Coming unexpectedly, applies to the Day the Lord will send His fiery wrath and changes the world, to prepare for the glorious Return, some years later.

No - you get it right! I'm following the work of the Lord's Humble Servant! Who are you to challenge him?
