A quick question ... if an infant is baptized, receives first communion, and then is confirmed as a Catholic christian by the age of 15, is he or she then a convert to Christianity? If yes, then I officially deconverted ...

Lokisdottir said:No, that never happened to me. The question remaining is, why not? Why does this happen for some people and not for others?
The hard answer for that is that God knows the heart and if the person is really seeking Him. It's a discouraging thought that you seek Him with all your mind but your heart is not really in it, but you think it is. Not to cause any more confusion, but the Bible says that the "human heart is deceitfully wicked, who can know it?" Perhaps it may help to ask God to show you the real condition of your heart and to show you that you really do need Him. He does promise that all who seek Him with their hearts, will find Him.
Because they don't take the time to sound your name out? LOKISDOTTIROn an unrelated note, why do people keep calling me 'he'? :/
He didn't just go to churchS Walch said:Nope - just going to church doesn't make you a christian.
Being confirmed as a Catholic requries an active choice. Its not just "going to church"A quick question ... if an infant is baptized, receives first communion, and then is confirmed as a Catholic christian by the age of 15, is he or she then a convert to Christianity? Lokisdottir said:Apparently, you're so determined not to show any sort of respect that you won't even capitalize the names of other people's Gods. The only point I see made is that you don't know how to use proper nouns.
I could do the same with the names of God and Jesus just to spite you, but that pesky respect thing gets in my way. I just have to remember that Jesus' teachings are worthy of respect, even if some of his followers aren't.
